You guys are nothing short of incredible. I may bash some of the game balance, but holy hell, Grim Dawn is easily looking to be a masterpiece title. Great post, as usual, Zantai.
The bridge southwest out of Devil’s Crossing will likely be an area we tackle in an expansion.
Act 3 Chapter 3 and Act 4 will take you far north of Homestead.
It will be as big as it needs to be.
You will unlock the next difficulty when you defeat the final boss.
We are planning on having one expansion, which you can pre-order with the Loyalist version. How much content we do after that will depend largely on the success of the game post-release.
Time and time again, I am amazed to see how well done this game is and how it always draws me back. Since before NOvember, I have been regularly playing this game almost once a day and still am not bored with farming and trying out new builds.
I’m not as good as others, but I enjoy the game regardless.
That was under the control of Iron Lore and the devs had no say in the size afaik…but here the devs can do as they wish and every single act has ended up being way larger than was originally planned. So size of acts in TQ have no bearing or relation to the size of acts in GD
B23 was not due to be released till late january and that came out christmas time, guess they have got the hang of it now
Damn, nice update, but here I was hoping for a full release mid this year… I want to start playing this game lol! Who knows how long I am going to have to wait before I can finally jump in and experience the completed package.
Finally! Snow! Snooooow!
I hope Act 4 will have a greater “open world” vibe. Act 1 one was pretty straight forward. Then I started getting lost in the maps of Act 2! We’ll see how the ending of Act 3 and Act 4 is.
gotta love crate for going well above and beyond what they originally promised.
that that tundra valley screenshot looks amazing.
lastly, anyone who complains Crate’s adding too much content should be fed to a ch’thonian devourer. Seriously the amount of content we’re getting for a $25 price tag is astounding.
Yo all
Finally i see more divercity! Totally agree with Xss and his happiness. After playing long hours on many many chars… that’ll be like +30 now…after all this nice feelings that i had runing form random hero respawn > 5 hero respawned at once i must tell that my ONLY only fear about this game was lack of many environments…diversed zones.
What was one of many positive sides of TQ…jungles and forests…deserts…babylon gardens…heaven and underworld…here i felt going through nearly the same zones.
What i mean is act 1 one road with side caverns…it was nice but felt a little weird…great refreshment came with Depraved Sanctuary i’ve liked that a lot…Gutworm and other secrets.
Act 2 was greater because of different roads…more types of unworthy mobs to be purged Steps well done we need more of challenges like that but in different setting another dimension or some rotting nest like you showing in coming content
Act 3 even better! this mist on fields… and hitting first time scarecrow that was scary specially when he had second life as that energy ball great time with new caverns and enemys in this chapter.
Im wondering did you have same feelings as i had? with a little repetitiveness in zones ? Id love to see more places snow…lava …forests…this Void you speak of sounds interesting to me
Another thing is Id like to see more city upgrades~repairs in finished game it feels amazing to see destroyed stand of humanity to be restored little by little with materials you bringing from hell of battle. It would be nice to see more look changes in our new stand like walls change lights, steps floor etc…more people and guards on walls too
Im well aware of zones placement in our continent so i understand part of repetitiveness coming from but it’s always nice to see some interesting side area a little different from used pattern.
As always im pleased with your work and efforts you suprised me on many occasions with your inteligent development of game.
