[GrimTools] Build Calculator

yes it would be… you are right!!!

Prefixes (at least for Helm) are missing in Build Calculator (are in Item Data Base / GD Stash). For example some 90 level. Maybe the reason is 1000 limit. Probably the number of prefixes exceeds it and not all are displayed as a consequence.

[edit] You need to make a database search in choose prefix in Build calculator to narrow down the prefix list so that it’s less than 1000 to get to a missing prefix.

Hey Dammit - is there an option to flip to the second skill bar to see what - if anything - a character has configured there ? While you can usually infer what might be there from the skills that aren’t on the primary of part of a devotion it would still be nice to be able to see them. If this isn’t currently an option would it be possible to add it (I’ve no idea how complex or not that would be) ?

I hope soon we will get the new version update

Hi I noticed a problem. When you search an item/component/augment by it’s damage type or other spec it doesn’t show up but when you search it by it’s name there is no problem.

This has been going on for 2 days so there is no new patch or something. Is it happening only to me?

Hello, this is possibly the most useful tool in Grim Dawn. Suggestions though for Item Database…

  • Would it be possible to implement search operators? E.g. searching for reduced duration would return anything with the word reduced and duration, while searching for "reduced stun duration" would return specifically ‘reduced stun duration’. Just like Google Search. Would be much easier if we want to search for items with no specific attribute.

What you’re asking is already possible with

reduced * duration

However be warned that this query returns over 500 results.
There’s a limitation in Grim Tools Item Database that if you make a search with over 500 results (1000 for example) the list will be trimmed to ~500 and the rest of result missing

You can also use Regular Expressions like this

/\+. to Forcewave/

(all items with bonus +x to skill Forcewave)

or

/Inquisitor*[\s\S]*Nightblade/

(items with bonus to Inquisitor skills in some Nth line and bonus to Nightblade in N+Kth line)

-* Elemental res

(items with Elemental Res debuff)

/[0-9] reduced target’s resistances/

(searches for X Reduced Target’s Resistances but doesn’t show X% Reduced target’s resistances

I’ve found a bug. Ranged Expertise doesn’t buff your stats if you use 2h-ranged.

Hello everyone and hello Dammitt.

I would like to suggest a little feature that would be very useful for me and for all the people who are doing levelling guides.

In grimtools’ build calculator, that would be great if we could have a “level required” indicated somewhere.

I saw this feature in Titan Quest’s calculator and thought is was simple and nice to have:

Also, there is already a system allowing us to set the character level in Grim Tools, so that could be linked to it maybe?

What do you guys think? Would that be useful for you?
And to @Dammitt, is that something easily doable for you?

Thank you for your work. I love Grimtools.

This hidden area in Morgoneth’s dungeon doesn’t appear in grimtools.

Shout out to @Relinfearous, he told me this.

Hi @Dammitt, thanks for your amazing tool! It’s really helpful when I try to plan a new build. I was so excited when I found the item db search supports regex. However, I couldn’t use regex in the devotion search bar. Is there a way to also use regex in devotion search?

Thanks again for your effort!

how are people sharing grim calc builds , my grim calc does not have the “share” option and isn’t generating a special code past /calc

Welcome to the forum. :slightly_smiling_face:

If you use AdBlockPlus or similar then turn it off in your browser for GT. Or try another browser.

You need to use the two highlighted buttons to upload a char and create a link for sharing it.

as you can see , I dont have a “share” function , i can upload my character for build , but for pre planning builds i cant save them to load up later.

Are you using the offline version of GrimTools or the website version? Which browser? Try using a different browser instead.

Do you have AdBock? If so turn it off for the GT website or try another browser.
