Build is also great for HC, another endgame setup for the patch since everything hits harder could be shattered realm guardian set for another damage absorption threshold, along with Aurora Relic for the flat 15k damage absorption, you become ranged Thanos
Switched to this build from Dagallonâs to try it out and itâs pretty nice so far!
What did you bind Elemental Storm to in Rhowanâs Crown? I havenât swapped my devos over from my Dag build but Iâm thinking of putting either Stun Blast or Storm Spread? I already have Mines on Fissure but I guess that could work too to just have all the RR on 1 button.
Flashbang is ok , any WPS also this is personal pref to be fair you can test multiple options and see which works best for you
Thank you for this built.
I begun a new character and want to try this build, but the written devotion does not match at all with the one on Purifier, Level 100 (GD 1.2.1.6) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
Which devotion setup should I use? The written one here on the grimtools one?
Thank you
I level prio to the endgame setup and Devotion path is explained in one of the sections
Is Anhiliation really better than Pyroclasm? Specially since Pyroclasm has such a short cooldown and youâre getting the max results with this build at point blank range anyway?
Flats are king , Spirit so you donât have to invest single attribute point , proc is generally better , but main trade off are the flats . You want as much flats as possible when building autoattacker , Pyroclasm is far behind in this particular case
Is there a grim tools link with ascendant affixes for the end game version?
Unfortunately not , but most desired defensive ascendancy mods are the ones to Vindictive flame and most desired offensive ones will be prob WD to Fire strike , at the moment expansion is still on the go so itâs very hard to test everything , especially with current power creep so we endgame testers and levelers need a bit more time than a month to figured out everything
To be honest, getting a build with optimal ascension bonuses requires so many re-rolls and so much farming that it doesnât seem practical or fun.
I would personally just accept âgood enoughâ bonuses rather than keep rolling for the best, unless you really need something like %WPS probability because youâre building around a single WPS.
Speaking of, I would personally think % chance to proc Storm Spread would be potentially best because this build is all about the shotgun effects.
It is theoretically possible to get something like 65% chance to use Storm Spread, 35% chance to use the set WPSâŚ
Like I said, probably impossible to get without cheats, but Iâm wondering if getting another 36% WD would be better than that. Especially since the storm spread proc chance also frees up skillpoints to use on Blast Shield and WoP for defense.
I do agree , most players would never commit to such a grind , thats why I point we still figured out potential affordable specs rather than fantasy stuff
PS: I totally forgot about Storm Spread mods , thats miles better
How is your cheap beginner build using shattered realm set? Even though it is technically feasible for a total beginner to reach there solo self found, I wouldnât call it beginner friendly. Assuming that beginners would grind SR 1 to 24? One of the problems with âbeginner friendlyâ builds is that they are created by experienced players no longer having beginner mindset. Not every beginner would grind SR. Not every beginner likes switching main skill for faster leveling.
Good thing you avoid fancy affixes, thatâs actually beginner friendly. Overall, good guide, but not entirely newbie friendly. The first 20 levels of tedious grind is what kills most playersâ interest. Been there, seen that far too many times.
Nobody complains so far , I do beginner guides since release and this one has only positive reviews on different platforms . I donât consider SR 24 a hard content , you donât have to beat it with record speed as well. That build was replicated from several players without any struggle , so I have to disagree here but thanks for the feedback
Again, beginner mindset doesnât necessarily mean that people always complain if itâs not working the way they imagined. They might simply quit and stop wasting their time. After all, if they feel the game is tedious and boring, why would they complain about your guide? Itâs not your fault that early game may seem very grindy and tedious to newbies, especially those younger kids coming from D3/4 and similar games expecting to get fully geared in 1 hour. The ones that actually embrace the challenges and go through with it, have far more incentive to come back and leave a positive feedback.
You donât consider SR24 a hard content. This is exactly my point. I donât consider it hard either, but we are experienced players who love challenges and grinding SR1 to 31 is totally fine, unless youâre a newbie. Again, like I said, good guide, just a couple of cents of constructive feedback here.
Iâve deleted my XBOX saves and started anew sometime mid-august and Iâve decided my first build to be this one based on @RSnoomak levelling guide build (remember since its Xbox, there was and still is no FoA expac, just v1.3).
Iâm not a beginner per se, just casual who tries to die as little as possible (I prolly have 1k+ hours on all platforms PC + Xbox). I know my way around the campaign quite well but I spent negligible times on SR or other actual endgame activities like min/max-ing, nemesis, dungeons so you can count me as a beginner towards the endgame for sure.
During the levelling process, I was pleasantly surprised tbh by the tankiness of the build even though OP warned that it may feel squishy. Till Logorhean in Ultimate I think I died only once in Elite during the Queen Bug fight in the croplands just because I had crappy poison res so entirely my fault. Its worth noting I dont like min-max-ing along the way, I like a smooth exp with no interruptions during the campaign just follow along the questline and rarely take a detour to upgrade the MI gear to something decent.
So, in that regard, this build is very beginner friendly. Also its guaranteed you will not use the rare guns you craft with Duncan or via the blueprints you find as sth better will always drop during the leveling process (epic with +1 demo or legendary later on like deviltongue or exonarator) so what OP shows as GT snapshots is actually barebone, you will most likely have higher damage Fire Strike during your run. Which is why I like his guides in general because his targets are very feasible during the levelling process.
Now, regarding the SR set, you do have a point. Its quite a pain to farm through SR24 with Oathbreaker set and some generic gear with no min-maxing, just speeding your way through SR . For someone who doesnt want to spend much time farming gear and also doesnt want to die alot is not viable imho. So, instead I took the totem farming route and it paid off, after not that much grind, the totems dropped 2 belts and the gun of the stronghold set. Surprisingly though, the oathbreaker set did take alot more time to drop than anticipated but thats RNG in a nutshell. So what OP said in his guide that you may find some kind of a stronhold drop (blueprint or items) before mythical oathbreaker was quite true in my run. I believe my second oathbreaker gun (thank god you can transmute) dropped just before the second stronghold belt.
With the stronghold set equipped and again quite generic budget gear alongside, getting to SR24 was quite easy with some deaths along the way because I basically wanted to stubbornly facetank bosses (but thatâs on me obv, you still have to doge some mechanics from time to time
).
All in all you may be right, getting the SR set may not be that budget-friendly but overall the guide 100% is - it is easy to build with not much gear-farming if you get bored easily like me and as OP said, with enough time (not that much though but it depends on RNG true), even the stronghold set is a guaranteed. Tbh I plan to start the next community season league with this build, thatâs how much fun I had with it.
To be fair I was lucky as well got the blueprint for the belt randomly around level 90 from a totem that I clear along the way , exactly like you I didnât get my hands on Oathbearer yet but technically got the endgame set
