You’re right “caster exclusive” is putting it strongly, caster oriented to a new player is more like it. I disagree somewhat about flat damage as a comparison though as you have to include the 4-5 spells that also benefit from flat damage and any weapon based devotions, so more things benefit from flat damage than cast speed. I think these exclusive skills should be made as generally applicable as possible for the tree they’re in as all the good ones are (e.g. Possession, Oleron’s Rage, Stormcaller’s Pact, Master of Death) and right now Harbinger’s has 1-2 stats for everyone and a few useless ones so it’s not enough to use over alternatives.

Agree with buffing HoS. I’ve got a Reaper and a Spellbinder I’m working on, no pets, and HoS isn’t really worth considering for either.

MoD and HoS are both in need of change in my opinion.

I think MoD should be all about defense and pet bonuses made for casters. Something like this:

%DA player and pets
Vitality resist player and pets
Aether resist player and pets
% all damage pets
% total speed pets
% casting speed player
% physical converted to vitality damage pets
% ADCTH pets

HoS would be the exclusive skill for weapon builds and it should look like this (player bonuses only, no pet):

%OA
%ADCTH
Flat Vitality decay
%Vit damage
%VitDecay damage
%Aether damage
%total speed
%physical converted to vitality damage player

I think these changes would balance these two well.

I think both HoS and MoD are ok at the moment. The thread is 10 months old.

I still don’t understand why MoD was nerfed. Now its only good for pet builds. =(
