Just wanted to stop by and do the typical introduction thread.
A little about me if anyone cares… Huge ARPG fan. Countless hours spent on Diablo, Diablo 2, Diablo 2 + LOD. Stumbled onto Titan Quest through a steam sale and thought it was a fantastic game, with its flaws of course.
I’m really excited about the direction of Grim Dawn and picked up the $50 version yesterday to help with development efforts hopefully and to get my name in those credits!

If I may ask, what were the things you disliked in TQ. voicing your opinion could help make GD a better game you see.
TQ was just too linear for me in the long run. I enjoyed my play through on all three difficulties on Immortal Throne, but playing through the EXACT same content again with other characters just didn’t quite appeal to me.
Closed servers were another gripe I had. To me, when it comes to loot driven games, there’s nothing quite like the ability to show of your legit godly finds off to the community. It also promotes an exciting trading community.
From browsing the forums, I know my gripes about Titan Quest aren’t exactly groundbreaking, but I think they’re worth voicing. It looks like the linearity is being addressed in Grim Dawn, but secure closed servers might be a pipe dream. With that said, I’m still very eager to get my hands on Grim Dawn, enough so that I purchased the package to get me Alpha access.
yep, its now an open map, without restrictions or anything. closed servers will not be possible, obviously due to costs and what not. voicing your ideas is what drives this community here, so do share your thoughts with us. hope you enjoy your stay here.
