Hey there guys,
now that I’ve started posting on this board, I thought I might finally introduce myself.
My name is Chris and I’ve had Titan Quest almost since the start. I’ve been pumping many, many hours of my life into this game (especially since Immortal Throne came out, making the game even more awesome), and I cried a little when I heard that there would be no sequel and that the company would be closed.
When I then learned about Crate and their donation/pre-order thingy here, I didn’t hesitate a minute and bought the legendary edition (if my finances were looking better at the moment, I might even buy one or two extra keys ). You guys have my full support! Also, I wanted to, only once, appear in the credits of a game
As for myself:
I’m a software developer myself, although unfortunately not in the game industry I’m 24 and live in Germany. Video games are a great hobby of mine (guess I wouldn’t be posting here if it were any different) and I hope to be part of game development at some point in the future, although I don’t think chances are realistically that high. So instead, I come here and post all my stupid ideas so the Crate people can use them
What I wanted to say:
I can only imagine what it must be like to take on a project like this with limited budget and manpower. You guys at Crate have my greatest respect for taking such risks and pouring so much unpaid work into this. You are exactly what’s been missing from the game industry over the last years - guys with a heart who actually care for their game, their art and their customers, taking risks to achieve the best possible result, not (only) the greatest profit.
