Hello Grim Dawn Community.
Though quite late, I figured I’d introduce myself before Alpha starts.
I’m 20 year old, life in Germany and I have been playing videogames since I was 6 years old. Back then it was mostly Pinball games though, like “3D Ultra Pinball 3: The Lost Continent” (had to look that one up ;)). Lateron I started playing Rayman, which I conside to be the first “RPG” I ever played. When I was around 8 years old I fell in love with the Zelda series, the Oracle games being the first real RPGs I’ve ever played (or at least can remember). Quite a lot of games followed and once I noticed I enjoy playing RPGs way more than strategy games or shooter, well, I obviously mostly played those :p. TQ, D2, D3 and TL are my most favourite PC games up to this day.
I’ve been following Grim Dawn since August 2012 (feels waaay longer). I was really happy reading about a “successor” to TQ, which I consider to be the best ARPG up until now. Having missed Kickstarter I only just recently decided to still contribute by preordering, which probably was a good thing, because my anticipation grew immensely after I finally held my key in my own hands. Well, not quite literally, but still.
I’ve always been somewhat lazy, especially when it comes to writing in forums regularily :undecided:. I still hope to change that, particularly considering the quite AWESOME Community. Just wanted to let you know that I tend to read things, rather then writing than down.
I’m really looking forward to playing and discussing GD with you, but until then, I’ll just wait ̶t̶̶e̶̶n̶̶s̶̶e̶̶l̶̶y patiently.
Oh and one last thing : While reading I stumbled upon the “Grim Dawn Steam Group”-Thread. Immediately entered and noticed that there’s barely any activity. It’s still the only GD group I found, so I figured it’s just inactive. Any chance to “revive” it? I think I’d be really helpful to ceep track of all the guys playing etc.
Mhh, maybe I should start a new thread regarding this topic.
