[HELP] Guys i need help please !!!! I accidently whole character :(

Hello,
i accidentally deleted my character from Main campain, as i thought i had still choosen the mod i am currently working on.
I have looked through the Forum and tried some recovery guides, but they all failed :frowning:

I tried:

  • \Documents\My Games\Grimdawn\ ā€¦ this folder doesnā€™t exist, and there is nothing GrimDawn related in the Documents directory
  • i went to steam, in menu i choosed ā€œsettingsā€ and then ā€œcloudā€, i disabled cloud and restarted game, character still gone
  • i opened ā€œsteamapps\common\GrimDawn\saveā€ folder, but the save is gone (last option here is trying a file recovery tool to get back the deleted file from harddisk)

Any ideas??
Please guys, otherwise the game may be over for me as this is just too frustrating :confused:

Wait, you typed DELETE and everything?

Either that or he deleted it manually in the folder itself. Maybe check the recycle bin. Otherwise thereā€™s nothing for it and he did it himself = /

I donā€™t use cloud, but they also should be stored locally in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata<user_id>\219990\remote
Just copy them to C:\Users<user_name>\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\save. Make manual backups, donā€™t rely only on steamcloud.
