My main is to be Occultist, I love the pet thingy. I wanted to be a summoner using Gun/Pistol + magic offhand and debuff skill to strengthen my pet
My secondary, should I get Demolitionist or Shaman?
Demolitionist seem like giving a lot of buff for one handed weapon while Shaman give more pet and 2 handed ranged weapon buff.
Well I guess you’ll first have to decide on whether you want your pets to be your strong point (in which case shaman is heavily recommended), or if you want to focus more on other things and have a weaker pet more as a recastable distraction…which opens up several options for a 2nd mastery.
There’s no reason why you can’t be a hybrid, especially with the way OA works now. You just have to be very careful about where to spend your points.
In any case pets are terrible as re-castable distractions. They’re good buffers/DPS, pretty OK support, but terrible tanks.
Got to agree with Tyr on the pet tanking, altrough some of the item pets(like the one from the tomb of Qaullogal or something) make more then up for it(it buffs u, it has aoe and flame aura and it also taunts!)
As for your 2nd mastery,i would reccomend Shaman, not only for the Brairthorn and the other buffs but also since u can make it as complex as u want, by sticking to the pets or adding some totems and Primal Strike to the mix.
And for a new player its not a bad thing to start with either, since it offers alot of survivability.
What in the world is this item? Never heard of it.

Yeah, that’s what I thought was meant. Just wish the actual off-hand had +%fire damage instead of vitality. I’ll probably still use empowered wyrmclaw for my build.
