Help with Aether Resist?

I’m currently trying to experiment with an elementalist build. I made a fresh 85 character with some gear that could work just to see if the build would be ok before I level it up and actually start grinding for BiS items.

I’m having real issues though with aether resistance/bosses like the warden that do a lot of aether damage in ultimate. How do people get around such issues with their characters when they get there?

Also having issues with bleed resistance and pierce.

Warden is primarily Bleeding and Piercing Damage, not Aether. He has some Aether, but not much.

You can try a Purified Salt component for an Aether Aura which gives you 20% more Aether Resist. There’s also a myriad of Aether Resist available in devotion.

Good luck with your theorycraft!

Ah thanks. I didn’t realise.

I think I will have a blast with this build but I am really squishy right now.

Remember the augments of factions, they have lot of aether resis to put or armor to increase your resistances

Basically with augments.

7% aether/7% chaos from black legion
7% pierce/10% lightning-poison-something from rovers/order/black legion

Even the 10%aether from anasteria if needed.

Given that there are 7 armor pieces, even the 7/7 augment represents about 100 points of resistance.

Another 12 elemental/aether from head component if you need

Bleed and pierce can also be boosted simultaneously with double silk swatch component on legs/shoulders (another 36%res each)

Yes Augments are generally the solution.

Don’t forget about Devil’s jewelry augments that can give 15% aether res or 18% bleeding res (among other good resist options) if you need them (though most people go for the 2% OA/DA one).
