Hello guys,I am pretty new to the game and this forum, hopefully this post doesn’t violate any forum rules (didn’t bother checking it out).
My very first character just hit ultimate level, he is currently lvl 78 with 46/50 devotion points, it is pretty similar to other vit/chaos conjurer builds, mainly uses devouring swarm, sigil of consumption, storm totem and wendigo totem (also has bloody pox and doom bolt). I would like some advice on the choice of constellations, here is the link to my current build: http://grimcalc.com/build/kzFibn .
(for those on mobile and can’t get the link working: It is rather defensive. I have Wendigo’s mark,twin fang, turtle shell,Dryad’s blessing, tip of scales, healing rain and cleansing waters). I want to know:
Which one is better: healing rain or giant’s blood? I went for healing rain since I like its shorter CD; there are 4 more points left, if I get both (and there’s nothing stopping me from doing so), does giant’s blood still override healing rain? (From a video I watched);
Is dying god worth picking up for this particular build? I would have to give up tree of life and some defensive constellations, so is it worth the cost?
There are also some other tier 3 constellations that I like a lot besides dying god, eg: abomination, Aeon’s hourglass,light of Empyrion. Is it better to stick with healing rain or are there any other constellations worth picking up?
How do I spend the last 4 points given my current setup? Giant’s blood, empty throne, or other suggestions?
It is fairly defensive, picks up giants blood (and yes both giants blood and healing rain can/will stack for crazy fast regen) Also I dropped Eel, Dryad, and Turtle for Panther, Lizard, and Lion to streamline your devotion a little bit. I also redid the skills some - a vitality conjurer without a max’d out sigil of consumption and corrupted storm totem is no conjurer at all!
Btw, it is possible to get Dying God and Tree of Life at the same time, while still keeping Scales of Ulcama even…see here:
Wondering why do you swap eel for lizard. Can you specify your reason? Because in my opinion eel is better than lizard in this particular build (I run vit caster with some different setup)
Also on the 2nd grimcalc isn’t gallows better than sailor’s guide?
Since you have both giants blood and healing rain it makes sense to get more life regen which gets boosted by both.
Gallows is not very good, the damage bonuses are insignificant and it doesn’t offer much other than that damage. Sailors guide on the other hand provides things that are very useful and quite rare (slow/freeze resist).
Hi, thanks for the reply! I was wondering why you would drop turtle’s shell and Dryad’s blessing? To me they are really good skills to have. Also How good is Ghoulish hunger compared to turtle shell for my conjurer?
Ghoul’s Hunger is only useful for melee builds - and as of now only useful vs trash enemies (bosses are effectively immune to lifesteal nowadays)
As for Turtle Sheel and Dryad’s Blessing, Turtle shell is decent, but lackluster all around and going one extra point there (compared to panther) means something else has to give. Dryad’s Blessing is in a similar situations but even moreso - it simply doesn’t give enough points towards unlocking end teir constellations and the proc - while powerful - is rather redundant with the high health regen you’d have with Healing Rain.
As of 1.0.0.4, Aeon’s Hourglass is very strong for this build- both the static bonuses and the proc at 50% health. If you’re going for Dying God anyway, probably get both.
Leveled a vit/chaos char recently, that’s what I did.
Dying god is damn good for vitality/chaos builds, as besides the high amount of damage increase, it provides flat + % OA, which these builds always lack.
