Im currently level 34, and so far it’s been a pleasant ride. Could anyone give me some feedback on my end build idea?
Looks pretty good. Have you compared with JayNyne’s build guide?
No, but it looks pretty similar. Looking at Mogdrogen’s Pact it seems quite a big Investment for somewhat little return.
How important is it’s benefits?
Also: is maxed vulnerability better than manipulation? The lowered resist are elemental, vitality and poison, but the pets deal their highest damage in physical and piercing. Familiar deals all lightning + Hellhound deals some fire damage, but compared to a boost to all damage types + total speed it seems a bad trade, or?
So i think of switching vulnerability and Mogdrogen’s Pact for maxed Primal Bond and Manipulation. How does that sound?
You can certainly try it. JayNyne has said several times it’s a guide, not a blueprint and feel free to change it if you want. In fact, he’s changed the skills around several times as new updates have come out. At one point he did have maxed Manipulation iirc. And Leviathan wasn’t in the original Devotion list.
As for the pros and cons well for Vulnerability bear in mind that 3 Devotions are giving you poison/acid damage with the Scorpion, Eye and Manticore, Leviathan cold/frostburn damage and Mogdrogen bleeding damage. So it may actually work better overall than maxed Manipulation when the Devotions are proccing. For Mogdrogen’s Pact remember that it and its syngeries affect not only you, but nearby pets as well so it may be a question of whether you want/need more damage from Primal Bond or the resistances/reductions benefits that the Mogdrogen’s Pact line gives.
Personally, I’d dump Familiar, and instead grab Heart of The Wild. I’d also probably skip the one point in Entangling Vines, and Hellfire is actually pretty good IMO, especially if you’re using any source of flat Fire or Chaos, notably the Salazar MI Summon. Yes, Vulnerability is good. Generally you’d like to max both, so you’re reducing every resistance you can, and so that the COF AOE is as big as possible.
Ok, seems like it turns in favor of Jaynyne’s build suggestion anyway. Thanks for all the great info though.
I’ve been playing with Jaynyne’s build for a while and is now level 42. It’s been great fun but i would like to have least 1 damage based skill for a Little more offensive and faster gameplay.
I was thinking of Sigil of Consumption + maybe Possession?
or
Doom Bolt + maybe Possession?
I could free up points from Summon familiar, Blood of Dreeg or Mogdrogen’s Pact?
Has anyone tried to mix this with a Pet based conjurer? Does it maybe create too much aggro?
