Help with spellbreaker

For reference my EA is 22/12 yours is 13/12 if im not mistaking.
Also your devo setup is bit different than mine.

Lol ok

/10 w/e

Well here is some evidence  I even took out maivens, and put them points to offensive skills. Sheet dps was 49k at the best. Just don’t know where to get any more cooldown <.<

Edit, with maxed ea it was 53k.

usualy i have ABB on LMB and SS on RMB but if i put nothing on LMB here it is
(with ABB and BoM up)

with crucible buffs you can hit pretty high sometimes …

Some off topic /
May i ask if it make sense to compare sheet dps from diffent builds/class?
For example a shield/witchblade with offensive setup that can reach 70-75k dps, does it mean we have overrall same performance in killing stuff than these cold breakers?

no it doesnt make sense, even sheet dps itself doesnt really make sense so xD
but between different setup of same build it can give some ideas.
so no it doesnt mean same performance, not mentionning your eventual procs and RR arent counted in sheet dps

No, its not even close. Sheet dps can be helpful when comparing same or similar setups but even than is not 100% precise measurement of dmg output but can be used as a reference.

Crit dmg % also, and for burst/dot setups like cold/fb SB crit dmg is of mayor importance.

No comparing dps doesn’t really make sense. But having half of the weapon damage than most people here makes me feel like i’m doing something seriously wrong but i have no idea what it is

Sheet dps is just a number. If wanna compare I’d recommend only dmg from Shadow Strike. Average time to take down a tough boss or nemesis is real one.

So the thread about squishy and want to improve survivability has changed to improve dps already. kappa

It is very clear at this point that i can’t improve my survivability a lot without those green items, but i guess i could improve my dps somehow.

Don’t blame to only gears. You’re just don’t sacrifice some (small) damage for (much) survivability. Greens help you have more room to increase offense like augment slot.

Getting higher dps
22/12 Lethal Assault + 7 stacks of Beronath’s Fury(from component shard of beronath).
With the fastest atk speed, all buff active. If 1-H dagger, you can take Oklain’s Lantern and boost more atk speed.
Equip BiS gear those have highest %dmg and highest dmg conversion

Here is gear customize from my guide

  • you can change scaled hide in pants and shoulder into other necessary things. Getting more absorption is for good resistance setup. If you’re lack of something you should change to fix it first

With 12/12 maiven and no shard of beronath still have fast kill time to those nemesis and unique bosses. Can solo gladiator crucible with pussy face defensive setup, but dmg output is still high.

I tried with nemesis but that pet was useless imo. Cooldown reduction from belgothian carnage on the other hand is just awesome.

It is just quote from the full guide. If you read the original one. You’ll see I’m using belgothian’s carnage.

It is only my suggestion for who don’t have exact gear or want to use different set up from me. I think It may help you customize yours. So I quoted

All these dual wielding posers make me sick

well, imo the best way to get more survivability for this kind of build is to increase kill times, this build is squishy no matter what you do, you could go full defensive devo for example, build would still work but it would be useless and pointless.
I mean rather go with shield then, or play something else that offer a more “safe” gameplay youknow, these cold SB are like dw bm to me:
kill fast or get killed.
of course you can always change minor things in devo, skills or gearing, but it wont change much at the end

Hmm, after researching the devotion tree a little, i wonder if manticore is good option? Would mean that i have to drop either amatok or chariot…really don’t know if its worth it.

No, Elemental Storm from Rhowan’s Crown a lot better and fit yours.
Yes, if you’re lack of Acid&Poison resistance. The 1 point in Dryad helps too.

Drop from Amatok. Chariot’s procs can help your HP up for some times and give high OA to your build. While Amatok increase a little dmg and few HP. But HP doesn’t matter if you’re too squishy by having low resistance.

I see. For me, as an offensive lover. I feel kill time relate to survivability. Those method works the same in most builds.

The thing is the build can sustain together with kill time. The lowest kill time is recommend, but if that build can sustain it long enough. Also viable in many situation other than 1vs1 should be considered too. So it should sustain dmg or survive for a certain time/amount in most situations. Which is every good builds not only spellbreaker can do it. At least survive through normal mobs.

About self sustain. I already give the guy all of my advice. I hope he’ll get some idea and can manage to play it through hard stuffs and handle in most situation.
At least with ADCtH and improve resistance is fine and might enough for not died in campaign. (He said he died few times before the door at BoC. It’s not ordinary durability for average good build should be.)

Totally agree with this dude. I just tested on dummy, and my kill time was about 38 seconds, maybe little less. I know that is not impressive and can probably be beaten with like any class. i’m not willing to part with any of my damage for now!

Again i did not see this one JOV… nice setup… maybe a godlike loxmere perhaps for more damage? … Would love to drop deathmark but I cant drop stun … resistances. But maybe I need to really go all out in damage then…:stuck_out_tongue:

Any mq kill times on this one. ? My breaker only does 7 to 8 sec and thats pretty mediocre when compared to others:cry:
