Hi there I’m new here and before I start playing the game I have a few questions.

I have seen some pictures of the game play and wonder if here are more colors available in the game? It all looks kind of brown and dull, or is it just the early stages that are so brown?
How far into time can this game go? Does it stay basic to around the middle ages or does it go much further the longer you play it?

It’ll depend on what type of map you have and also the seasons change so you’ll see changes because of that.

It goes on as far as you want. It doesn’t move forward in terms of technology really because it’s not that sort of game. But you can play your towns for as long as you want to, some people have played them for hundreds of years ingame time.
