Then stay the hell out of the thread with “SPOILERS” right in the title amirite?
Go start your own hint-only thread or something.
FFS.
Don’t kids nowadays understand a simple spoiler thread?? If you are here to give vague hints - you are doing it WRONG.
FFS.
Edit: I mean…just saying not trying to get into a HUGE piss fight here. Although it sure looks like it.
By the way, is it possible to repeat some parts of the quest or kill the bosses again? I’m in front of the Asterkarn Road one, and there’s no stone in the way anymore, however, an invisible wall prevents me from going inside that cave again.
Not sure if it matters - I didn’t do “explore the temple” quest yet.
Ok, now that i’ve managed to kill Rashalga, the Mad Queen with no deaths on Ultimate using a melee character my opinion is that this boss is simply insane. However, imo she seriously needs a buff -
more precisely a “charge” type attack or skill. Otherwise, high dps ranged characters will make her trivial .
As far as I know all bosses are repeatable (correct me if I’m wrong, Nine).
I think the invisible wall thing is a known problem by Crate. The best thing to try to do is port to town and then port back and try entering again. Thats worked for me before.
I killed the mad queen on ultimate, hits hard but my character has 80% or more in all resists so I can only assume that the majority of her damage is physical or she has a massive resist debuff that I didn’t see. If it’s something else then may the three help you if you don’t have maxed resists.
Third Path: Go to Asterkarn Road lift; go over ramparts. Where the road starts again, keep to the left inside. You will move back around the ramparts and finally break through into a cavern.
… for those of you that didn’t notice, there is an unimpeded path right next to that very same house that leads down there as well, without having to smash the breakable.
There’s zero breadcrumbs in that game to find this stuff, yes i know it’s hidden but was Crates intent for us to go to the forums to just copy whoever did it first?
I have found zero breadcrumbs that leads to this stuff…
The first breadcrumb is admittedly in the patch notes. Otherwise imo anyone remotely familiar with the game and the areas can easily figure out where to go (by where to go I mean where you should be searching) by simply reading the clues in the lore notes that drop. I’d almost argue that after the first clue it was entirely too easy to find and figure everything out.
It’s dead simple and every single tester managed it with the same starting clue and independent of each other.
Otherwise I see nothing particularly wrong with having harder to find, and wander across, secrets in the game. Many games have obscure Easter egg type side areas/quests that any given player may or may not find without guidance.
Who’s to say that maybe “you” weren’t a brand new player who knew nothing about it to begin with and just happened to stumble across the first section in Lower Crossing? Ok, make a mental note and carry on. Get to A2 and now you found your first dynamites and a light bulb pops up and you remember about that previously inaccessible area.
One thing leads to another and since you’re new you probably are exploring decently by default. You happen across the second path as a result.
And so on.
Not everyone in the future (and even now) will have the benefit of these patch notes and it will simply be something they came across thru normal first time playing. I think that was partially the intention here.
If wandering around low level areas are your only argument, how does that stack up in Ultimate? Are they still low level areas?
Actually, i got all the paths without coming to the forums to cheat… found all of the hiddden stuff myself. Once you told me that the first clue is in the patch notes… i just looked all over Lower Crossing and found it after 30 mins
Just read the journal papers once they drop, i mean IF you play Grim Dawn enough to kinda get a hint to know where things are.
Frozen…obviously Asterkarn and i remember Grobles around giant stones = Profit
Harpies and broken? Well there’s a ton of harpies on the way to a certain place = Profit
I will admit though, you kinda have to know your stuff about Grim Dawn and remember things because if you don’t then these things will not much makes sense where to actually go. So i take my original statement back about the breadcrumb…this was a lot of fun.
