You can go pretty much all Physique. I have 81 points in Physique and 9 points in Spirit. I would save at least 10 points to play around with until you lock down your gear. The extra spirit will give you more energy regen, but it’s mostly a non-issue anyway so you may want to go without it. I think around 10 points in spirit is good though. You need the Physique for the extra health and regen, so mostly Physique is really important.
LMB - Beronath’s Fury
RMB - Chaos Strike
1 - Curse
2 - Blade Trap
3 - Sigil
4 - Burst
5 - Blood of Dreeg
6 - Ring of Steel
8 - Blade Shield
9 - Summon Hellhound
0 - Pot (although I use the E key)
I chaos strike in… Hit 1, 2, 3. Then I start with left mouse button. Keep 4 and 5 active all the time and time with healing as needed. Throw in 6 to stun periodically. Set Hellhound to defensive. We just want his aura.
Considering you have the best builds in these forums by far I’ll take that as a huge compliment! I actually stick with two fangs now over crimson. I find the +1 occultist and the extra damage outweigh the leech from crimson (which I don’t really need with all the other def stats I have). I struggled with arcane spark vs. dread skull, but I think you may be right that the IAS would outweigh the OA increase and extra energy regen from arcane spark. With the new augment changes, I could probably swap the wardstone out for sure. Previously it was the only way I could cap my resistances.
I just kind of wing it with every build. I don’t keep track as I’m going unfortunately.
Just some tips:
I use components to help with early levels. For instance I will put flintcore bolts in something and use the greater fireball. I will put mark of dreeg in the off hand and use that as well. Early on components can be really powerful and clear much faster than using early point based skills. The exception would be arcanist. The flash freeze spell has to be the fastest early on leveling skill in the game. I max it out right away.
Blood of Dreeg is a good contender for maxing right away just to make your life easier.
Gorefeast and Thirsting Maw are great melee weapons for early on because of the life leech.
Non-empowered versions of any build obviously are good. For this build you can get the (non-empowered) fanatics overcoat early on. The legplates of valor is also good and available at level 40.
In general with leveling I am most concerned with experimentation and clearing speed. Even when I do someone else’s build, I think experimentation is good because you may want to make the build your own. You may find changes to it better suit your play-style. Also, your gear selections may vary.
Constellations… I always start off with offensive constellations that have attack procs attached even if they won’t be my final devotions. You might for instance go with falcon swoop, etc. then later replace it to better match your damage types. The defensive ones are more important once you get to ultimate so I get those last.
For this build you might consider leveling with dreeg’s evil eye instead of going melee right away. I encourage you to experiment!
Loving the build so far, have you tried out in the DLC yet? Curious as to how it’ll do there, thanks for sharing the build and all the stuff you put into it
Do you have a leveling up guide? Such as when to put attribute points where and when, and how to level up devotions as you level up? Otherwise, the build looks fun as hell judging from the youtube vids. Thanks in advance!
Stats are all physique or very close to it, just cram it in all in phys as leveling.
Leveling with evil eye would be by far the fastest option early on. If you want to melee the whole way through use blade burst + ring of steel/frost early on cause the build will have 0 aoe othewise and it’ll be slow as shit. Phantasmal blades is a safer, but slower ranged option
I need the +skills to get Second Rite and Possession to lvl 22. The Medal gives +5k DPS. Chaos Strike hits really hard and hits up to 3 targets. Single target DPS will be better with Symbol of Solael, but i dont want to press more buttons (already enough with this build…).
