How do devo procs assigned to skill procs work?

How does a devo proc assigned to a skill proc work? Will it only go off when the skill proc goes off, or will it go off whenever an attack is made?

For example: Say I have Savagery and Feral Hunger (25%), and I assigned Arcane Bomb (25%) to Feral Hunger.

Will Arcane Bomb only proc when Feral Hunger procs? Or can Arcane Bomb proc whenever I use Savagery?

Arcane Bomb will only proc when Feral Hunger procs since it’s attached to it. A devotion skill will only proc if the skill is attached to is used.

Got it, thank you!

Oh glad theres this topic. So i asigned curse of Frailty to Eldritch Fire …will it apply to like every move the curse touches? I had it on the Ray originally but the Ray activates Fissure much more often so I keep that there instead.

Well first, a problem comes along. Then, you must whip it. It’s very important that you do this before the cream sits out too long.

Well, eldritch fire will curse 1 mob. If u’re lucky and wont 1hit that mob in the slaughtering process, the curse will spread to all surrounding mobs. Tested it with CoF, Warcry. So if you want to “control” where the curse lands, attach it to a single target skill/attack (e.g. Doom Bolt, LMB skill etc).

It will have chance to proc with every enemy touched, every second you curse persist. It’s a very powerful skill to trigger devotion procs.

So much this. I run Eldritch Fire on level 8 Curse of Frailty and it will almost always proc on every single enemy frailty is applied to. Ends up killing many trash mobs on its own.

Consumption of agrivix becomes absolutely ridiculous when used with no cooldown devotions…
It hits like several times each second in a wide radius…
I assigned imp to it and my screen is covered in green in just a few seconds I presume Curse of frailty would work similarly

That sounds very interesting! But I’m not sure how you get it to work so often. It has a 25s cooldown before any reduction, what is your secret?

Edit: these aura skills are crazy good for devotion. Try to assign Guardian’s Gaze to Pestilence from the Plaguemancer’s Amulet. You will have 10 eyes following you. It’s a shame we can’t assign an offensive devotion to Night’s Chill.

Well after all… the CD is long (otherwise it would be OP since it also adds an ungodly amount of OA… also great with stuff on crit)
But it continues for a good long while and best of all it follows you as you move… and it clears several screens of trash by itself paired with aetherfire. Actually with Aeon’s hourglass (a devotion constellation whose prerequisites of blue and red are great on aether/chaos warlock with devastation and doombolt) it’s not that long at all.
