Here is my item in grim dawn, and I decided to put it into grim tools to see how well I rolled on the stats.
This is what my item looks like in grim tools. my main confusion is with in grim tools, it states that my fire damage range is (3 - 4) - (5 - 8) but on my actual item what I rolled was (5) - (7) Even if I rolled max, wouldn’t the highest number that I could roll for the low end be 4 like it says in grim tools (3 - 4)? and also where did +5 defensive ability come from on my item in game? It’s not a stat listed anywhere in the grim tools version of the item, and I have two of these pistols but I don’t have a photo of the other one, but on the second pistol same name and affix, it’s missing the elemental stat entirely.
I guess this boils down to a couple questions.
How can numbers in the ranges of affixes be different than what I see in grim tools, perhaps I am doing something wrong, and second can extra or otherwise random statistics be included on an item like my items +5 defensive ability or is there a way to determine what causes that stat to appear, or why some statistics could be missing entirely. I would have thought that if the stat was listed in grim tools it was guaranteed to be there with that item affix combo. it says 6/8 and I thought it couldn’t escape those number bounds, and rolling a zero would be impossible.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Just trying to understand grimdawn a bit more to get into making my own builds a bit better.
