How do you handle aging deaths in late game?

I’m at the part of the game where, in addition to dying from death in battle, there are a lot of deaths from old age.
now in my pacifist game it’s worse, now 10 people die at a time, I’m out of manpower, help haha

Yeah, I’m playing in pacifist mode, and my villagers are dying like flies from old age! It’s a bit much.

Villagers dying of old age is the optimum end result.
They lived a full life, helped build the community and their life wasn’t cut short by hardship, privation or avarice.

Have babies.
City of 1k people here and I have over 300 laborers. A few deaths is no problem at all.

Build your town more slowly so that you spread the ages out per each wave of city expansion. I quickly build up to about in 70 pop in the first 5-7 years and then I focus on farming and getting all my fields up to a high fertility. After I am happy with my initial farms about 8 to 15 years I’ve slowly expanded to 150. Then slowly in another 10 years I creep up to 220 population. Staggering my growth creates a great spread in age of the population. Also do not accept settlers, let you settlement grow via births. This also helps with staggering the age of your people.

I accept almost every sole that walks into my towns and have never had aged deaths exceed population growth, especially in pacifist mode. Something else is happening here, or it was just one rough year.
