All I know is I kickstarted this game, talked 2 others into playing it and got to the end. Couple of of years later, the game has been rebalanced for devotions and I’ve been penalized for giving a damn back when few others did. There were no wipes or anything like that, it was nothing less than theft that left my character and 75 hrs of play time worthless. A person who just jumps on board pays a third the money and never cared has a better character than me. This was not part of the deal. A better game like Path of Exile compensates you when stuff like this goes down.
Now that’s a stupid rant, isn’t i? Surely there is a reason why my old character doesn’t have devotions besides theft or laziness.

You do know that you pretty much can go just around the map restoring shrines to get devotion points? That’s how you earn them. So before you accuse Crate of anything, do some research first.
People born in 79 or around there shouldn’t be using the term “penalized” in relation to a game that was in development and incomplete when you were still playing it.

Apart from that, go over the map and restore the shrines, that is how you earn devotion points.
If that is too much work, use a trainer to get them

the deal was you get access to a work-in-progress game right away and to the full release eventually. That is exactly what you did get. You just did not stick around for the full release, or resume play once it was available.

I think my post was meant to be a joke. I blacked out from cheap rum and I didn’t even remember playing GD until 3 AM this morning. I actually like starting over in these games and have the utmost respect for the devs. I have no idea what I was intending with that post. I’m glad everyone rightly came to Crate’s defense. Jeez, I need to lay off the sauce a bit.
