Hi,
I just reached Blood Grove and wonder how far in I am. Could I get like a percentage or something? An indication?
Many thanks!!

You’re in the mid to later part of act 3 with 2 more acts to go…roughly
You’re roughly 60% done. Doesn’t meant the final stretch will be easy, though.
And after all of that I have to do it all again on a harder difficulty and after that on an even harder difficulty? Or is that just extra? Cause in Path of Exile or Diablo you had to go through the final difficulty to actually get to ‘end game’
If ‘endgame’ is what you seek, then yes, you’d need to. Endgame in GD is not at all like PoE or D3, however. It’s of farming wherever you want for whatever you want, rather than running Grifts/maps/etc.
Modding also gives more options for “endgame” when it comes to more mastery’s, challenges and maps though I know not everyone is into trying out mods.
Interesting. I’m curious where these 5 acts start and stop from your point of view!
Personally I divide the game in 4 areas in my head:
1- Devil’s Crossing > Warden
2- Devil’s Crossing > Broken Hills west
3- Troll boss > Karroz
4- Snowy area > Cthulhu
If I remember correctly as the acts were developed it was :-
Edit… To give you an idea how much it’s grown in the development. Homestead and the Rotting Croplands was originally going to be “The End”
Couldn’t we go from Darkvale Gate through Plains of Strife but not enter the Necropolis?
I’m very vague on that section, for the main reason it was during then that Rhis noticed my mapping project and mentioned that the game would have the tool to create what I was doing image by image in one go, so it was pointless continuing and I’m a bit vague on where it starts/stops after that and Fort Ikon seemed more a logical choice than I can actually remember where it was…
Makes me wish there were some really cool “ACT X” text when you reach a new act, with some flavor text underneath based on your adventure or the events.
I like to think that vanilla Grim Dawn is a massive, single Act, with the upcoming expansion being the 2nd Chapter/Act of the game.
The game was never officially divided into acts and everyone started just referring to each new part of the game as acts as it was being made, for simplicity. If I had to guess Crate probably did it like this intentionally, perhaps in keeping with how the map is one contiguous flowing thing, all tied together.
Noone even really agrees wholly on where some “acts” end and begin anyway, such as the end of Act 2 which can be viewed in a few different ways. I simply go by what they gave us for act 2 and where Bourbons clone used to block the way as the end of Act 2.
Anyway… It isn’t really that important and I don’t see a need for them to flash it on screen… Most people would probably miss the cue anyway, they still do all the time when such cues flash up (like when you kill Loghorrean and “beat” the game.

To answer both OP and act questions, lets have a look at the wiki:
