Im kinda new to Grim Dawn and I wonder what makes a green MI weapon good or better than a legendary item. Whats a good base DPS (damage x attack speed) for a single hand or two hand weapons?
Here for example I found this sword yesterday, it kinda looks nice but I dont have a clue if its worth keeping.
It is very situational, some MI’s can be very powerful for beginning and as a temporary weapon until you get BiS epics or legendaries. Some MI’s can be BiS even if their affixes are shit while some can be BiS only if their affixes are godly. Some MI’s provides pretty nice skill modifiers that can allow for a more “unique” build.
That weapon you showed can be a cool weapon for a 2H melee cold dervish, since the weapon will give the nightblade skill Pneumatic burst 70% fire > cold damage conversion, and 100% conversion on the Oathkeeper skill Vires might. However, it might be hard to make an at least decent end-game viable char with such build structure considering what other gears and skills that are available to you and in the game in general. I know there was a thread about that said MI weapon here a few days ago, I can not find it now though but I am tired and drunk
Good MI weapon is the one that gives you mod for yor main attack like fore example for vitality RE build Bonespike is very good or for Storm totems-Stormstrife.Also affixes matter, for auto attacker you want attack speed, for spammable abilities-cast speed. Also is beneficial if you have affix granting you bonus to the damage type you’re dealing.
Let’s be honest here, there are only few eipcs that are actually either good or BiS. It’s actually better to farm up a resist filling rare MI than get an epic item that fills mostly only one or two stats.
Yes,later the pic was working:p.This weapon is obviously for ColD Dervish, but Idk how good it will be.RR will be low.Still with amulet with cold RR,eternal haunt ring and devos one can hatch a plan.Oh and Ravager helm,CDR and more RR.Something like Vire might/Shadow strike build.
yeah, in general both blue and purple items are inferior to greens when it comes to defensive stats like resistances. In particular for pants and boots. It is pretty common, at least for new(er) players that they underestimate the power of green items. Especially when they can not craft higher-tier components or have revered status with most factions for augments.
Are you up for the challenge to create the definitive Alkamos-wannabe build?
Um,am yet to try the new patch and I have at least dozen build ideas that’s go to the bottom of cue.My first thought is-no it’s not gonna work, but then I changed my mind.Usually I get excited about build, then try it and after saw my terrible result, move on:)
Wondering if the “burn” trail will get colored blue with that sword? That would be sick in it is own right since I am a sucker for cold look skills - I think they look cool
I love cold too, this idea move couple spots up.But cold EoR,which we created with Spanky was kinda disappointing,so I am not sure,is it possible to achieve good results with cold Dervish, without Deathmarked.
