This is annoy message that a deer hunter, which is guarding my fields from deer, not successfully, pops up “work area is empty and might need to be moved”. How do I turn off this message?
Definitely Agree: Even more annoying, the same message when a Work Camp has no stone in its work area, prompting me to growl at the computer:
I Planned It That Way, You Fazzbazzing Game, It’s Surrounded By Thick Forest And Is Harvesting Timber Only Because My Other Work Camp Is Right Next To A 1200 Ton Stone!
Apparently, the concept of Specialized Work Camps is lost on my villagers . . .
It will help if their instructions are more clear. Put that ratio slider all the way to wood and they’ll stop letting you know there’s no stone.
It is also slightly irritating that the message stays up for several seconds after even I have had time to read it. It hangs around far to long, blocking a significant part of the screen at times (like blocking a building I’m trying to get to, or blocking a road I want to update, for instance). Someone asked if we couldn’t have an “X” on these messages, so we can close them as soon as we don’t need them anymore. I would like that.
I finally figured out the slider: it appeared that no matter where I put it I still got the same ratios of wood to stone, until I moved it all the way over to the end: then I got either All Stone or All Wood. It appears that the slider is not capable of subtle distinctions: it’s all one or balanced, with no real ‘weighting’ of the harvesting.
Yeop, glad I scrolled to the bottom. Was just about to say that you can set the ratios to all wood or all stone and then the messages don’t appear…
