how work retaliation and reflect ?

I making a warder and have a question… how work exactly this.

Damage reflection - only works at enemies at distance ? …only physical ?

Retaliation - only works at mele, but if i have pierce, acid and lighting , wen a enemy hit me he receive all tree damages ¿? (and then work his defense against the type of damage)

I supose only work in direct damage, but magic damage work ¿?

This thread on a Warder retaliation build may give you some guidance.

Reflect: This effect deals incoming damage multiplied by your reflect percent back to the originator of damage, regardless of source. You get hit in melee? It gets reflected. You get shot by a gun? Reflected. Hit by an AoE from a spell? Reflected. The more damage you take, the more damage reflect deals.

Retaliation: This effect is essentially an attack that only happens when you are hit in melee. All your retaliation effects are applied to any melee attacker that hits you (dodge or miss don’t trigger) and are effected by the resistances of the target normally. If you have 1000 pierce and 400 lightning and 20 acid retaliation and someone hits you, regardless of how much damage they deal, they will receive 1420 damage modified by resists.

thanks for perfect explication.
