This game is great, thank you in advance! I already liked Grim Dawn and this shows, that you are brilliant in everything you touch. The quality your work shows, will make me buy your next two games without hesitation and without waiting for reviews.
And now to my wishes.
I like quiet but challenging building games (such as yours). I hate stressful military real time action (when in a building game). But the way you do it makes it feel good. So good, that I would like to raid villages of other settlements as well. I would like to build even stronger castles and improve my defences. If you would manage to integrate war, without too much stress an with the choice to survive without it, something more, which would make you different from Anno.
So please, program competitor villages (far away from mine, so that I get in touch with them only after a very long time on tier 3 or so) and the option to raid them.
To increase immersion, you should also add more different animations and skins for the villagers.
That would make it even better than it already is.
Its kinda funny that you want to raid villages since the beginning story is about escaping war, etc. At the same time I like that too, perhaps it should be called raiders villages. Attack before you are attacked. Maybe you are given missions by the local royalty to fight an enemy’s city and pillage what you have conquered or do raid on the outskirts of those cities.
But we are escaping royalty, and trying to escape the cities and Lords that run them.
We are just trying to live life, in peace, feed ourselves, clothe ourselves, raise our kids, etc etc etc.
I like the idea of our soldiers needing to go out and track down raider camps and exterminate them, but not doing missions for a king/Queen… we just got away from the Lords to find our own small place in the world.
Notwithstanding, seeking out raider camps would be cool and would be a good addition to the game.
I agree with that, but you have gold. The Lords and Ladies will find you, they will want their gold or at least some form of appeasement.
I would prefer not dealing with Lords and Ladies, but I am still in the early parts of the game, so I was assuming, “I’ll be having to pay somebody not to integrate or destroy me.”
