I know about the one on Conflagration, and the book that gives you the pure elemental damage beam, but are there any other AAR style attacks?

You can find some items that grant you “Ice Spike” as a skill, but that’s all.
uh yeah you can find those at like level 7. i could have sworn there was another beam attack as a cast off some epic gear, but maybe i’m wrong 
There could be. I haven’t gotten too many Epic items yet. Not sure, but I would guess the “Ice Spike” items would have better stats in Elite and Ultimate if you find them.
Arcanist is the only mastery that has that sort of skill though and neither Panetti’s or AAR are cold based. Panetti’s has some elemental damage as does it’s synergy Supercharged, but that’s it.
The stats will always be the same, since it’s the same component.
Concerning an Ice Beam, I looked through all items in the Graceful Dusk database with Cold bonuses on them and none had such a skill.
Yeah, cold seems to be a bit unloved in the game so far. Nightblade does have some skills giving cold damage, but that’s it.
I’m trying to work out a cold based toon who uses the Amatok the Spirit of Winter constellation which is the only one with cold based damage, but haven’t come up with a build yet. Would be Nightblade with either Shaman or Arcanist or maybe at a stretch Shaman/Arcanist focussing on the elemental stuff and layering on some extra cold via weapons/items. :undecided:
You are likely thinking of Crown of the Winter King which grants a 3 wave ice skill. Closest thing that exists to your ice beam hopes.
yeah now THAT is looking hot, but i’ve never found one and pretty sure you can’t gamble one of those 
Basically looking for cool ice spells that do NOT have a CD, so the beam attacks are great. There’s lots of ice/water spells that have a 4 or 5s CD on them (the necklace is more like 8s CD lol), but that makes them basically useless. My “winter king” character is trying to front cold damage but right now he’s like 1700% cold and 1500% lightning and i can’t give up the lightning, it’s just too necessary.
by “gamble” do you mean get one from the black smith? As far as I know you should be able to get helm BP’s from him still. He actually gives you the BP, so you’ll still have to then craft the item…
