Idea for item quality UI little redesign

A little foreword:
I love the game and generous amount of items with different affixes. But at the same time i hate to waste 10 minutes on sorting inventory and selling garbage to vendor. I have couple of champs equipped with best legendaries for my build, so as everyone knows - next equipment upgrade is items with right double rare affixes (especially on MI). So ofc i have item filter on green+ but there are lots of crappy green items and everytime i need to look at everything before selling it. So i have an idea how to make it easy to distinguish item quality (actually a lot of people suggested to make item quality redesign but i haven’t seen anything this elegant and easy to read).

The main idea:
First, add another quality category for MI and make it different colour, for example something like this (in Titan Quest Anniversary Edition devs made it like this) over ordinary green.
Second, make affix different text depending on its quality, for example Shrewd Murderer’s Breastplate of Oleron’s Wrath. It’s far more informative, doesn’t require you to learn all the affixes and you instantly see that you maybe dont want to pick up this item at all because of yellow prefix on it.
And third, add some affix indicators on item image in inventory so that you dont need to hover every item to see affix colors. What i mean is to add 2 squares of different colours on every item except epic and legendary (like gem sockets in games like Diablo). And ofc, make them different colors depending on affix rarity. For example standard colors for magic/rare and black or tranparent with border for no affix.

Well, this is all i wanted to say. Thanks for your attention.
I hope devs will see this thread and seriously consider making this changes. That would be really cool and would highly increase quality of life for endgame farming.
P.S. I asked how to make a mod with this features but after some answers and research i found that it would be crutch programming for colors and impossible for affix indicators.

I’d like these. Though only if multi color names was optional. I think for most people it’s not necessary, and visually it would pretty ugly with loads of loot.

Well, maybe different colors on one item isn’t necessary but then it can be this same circles. I dont know how it will look better, generally there are 2 options: at the left of prefix and after suffix or at both sides of item name without affixes.
Also, to choose background item color in settings will be good too, many people asked for this and this is not even hard to do (mods can do this but only with existing item categories)

I hate to keep bothering but i think that green items sorting is a real issue. Being unable to see real value of item at first glance makes green item hunt pretty tiresome.
So…
Bump.

i’d definitely support MI items being a different color. they are after all a higher class of gear

Yep, this would be a fantastic change. I still have to use external tools to figure out which affixes are Rare and which are Magic. Two thumbs up!

Another green for mi it’s a good idea, but these tri-color titles, my eyes just begin to flow.

I’m down for MIs being a different color too, if something like that is possible at this point.

And while the multi-color item names does look like a good idea on paper, it would probably make your eyes bleed and get a little frustrating with them laying all over the ground.

Making them the color based on the item’s rarity while laying on the ground, and then only having the multi-color affixes show on the tooltip might be okay. Once again, if it’s possible. I’m not sure how difficult it would be to implement changes like these.

Very good idea, where i must sign to support it?
Also, please, add different color for double-rare rolls if it possible

Great idea and should be easy to implement.

More MI love eh? Since I treat MI’s as pokemons, any UI improvement is more than welcome. I’d gladly pay a fortune for an QoL patch like this:rolleyes:

I dont know why i dint though about that, but this can be even better solution than affix indicator and probably would be easier to do.
