Dear Dev-Team,
I’ve spent quite some time with your game and totally love it and I am very excited for the upcoming expansion. Nevertheless, there is something that bothers me for quite some time.
I am talking about Nemesis monsters. I like the idea behind it but to search for them can be quite a pain, can take really long and therefore can lack of motivation very fast and end in frustration.
My last run took more than 1 hour and I still didn’t find it (I was searching for Valdaran). Of all those many places he can spawn, I must have overseen a small corner or something. And even if you find one of them the chance to get some nice loot or just something you need like recepies is still random.
An example and easy way to fix this and make it a more motivating and fun way to look out for Nemesis bosses would be some sort of NPC (like a spy, news agent, a person that hears many rumors or some sort of this).
This NPC then tells you about some information he got, stories from escapees or rumors he heard of and (to make it not too easy) tells you of 2 or 3 locations those people might have seen the (specific) Nemesis Boss. So you still have to look out for them but have a smaller area to look out for and the certanity that they have to be in one of those areas. (This also makes all Nemesis bosses equal to find independent of the amount of spawn areas.)
It’s quite a bit like a bounty but with more places to look out for and without any rewards (finding the boss should be reward enough).
This is just an example but it would be a nice and easy way to make it more fun to hunt down those evil Nemesis monsters and clear those lands of this rotten evilness
