Hey everyone! I’m currently playing a Templar through normal, very much enjoying the new difficulty. Since the base game got harder, it feels like it’s more important how you as a player behave - like kiting, side-stepping and so on - and how well you use your skills. Before the new update you could just spam your skills and everything would be fine.
That made me think; what if you could get a bonus to certain skills when you use them in a certain way, when you use then in a way that’s utilizing the skill as much as possible. For example:
- Aegis of Menhir does more damage when you use it 1 second after your cooldown got refunded (after this hourglass-symbol appears over your head).
- Some AoE-Skills deal more damage (or some other buff) when you hit at least let’s say 5 enemies with them.
- A single-enemy skill deals more damage if there’s no additional enemy in a 5 meter radius around the target.
- Skills with a chance to pierce through enemies get a bonus if you hit at least 2 (or 3) enemies.
- Those 100% damage reduction for 3-seconds-Skills last one second longer if you use them while having less than say 25% health.
- For Nightblades - you deal more damage to enemies that have not spotted you yet (like a first strike).
- Using something like Bloody Pox? If you manage to infect 10 enemies at the same time, some kind of buff is applied.
I could go on, but I think you got the idea. I don’t know if that would be possible, but I sure know that I would be even more fun if “your own skill” had a greater impact.
