Blade Spirit and Devouring Swarm are fundamentally different abilities.
What you are basically asking is to redesign Swarm which I highly doubt is going to happen. If you want pet Swarms, modding is your friend

It’s a cool idea thematically…but idk, having a Level 1 ability with that much RR constantly floating around you at all times seems like it might be a bit much. :eek:
As Baka says, it’d need a redesign if it were to ever happen, and I can’t really see it happening.
Maybe a more feasible change to the skill would be to give it a “spreading” to adjacent targets function , similar to Ill Omen and Bloody Pox. It would definitely improve the Swarm’s QoL, as it’s annoying to constantly recast it for the RR, even with the piercing trough enemies mechanic on it. Maybe take out the piercing from it and just leave the spreading effect. Although it would be cool to leave them both, if we don’t have a permanent swarm.

As Baka says it’d basically be a total redesign, and the stats would need some serious tweaking - I can’t really see either of those things happening, especially since (to my knowledge) it currently isn’t much of a problematic ability.
