Hello everyone, I have played Grim Dawn since the early access and loving every minute of it. Here are some ideas I’ve come up with to make the gameplay experience even better, let me know what you think
Firstly, the endgame:
Challenges = High level dungeons designed to test your might! Several are scattered throughout the game in ultimate difficulty and will require a special key/component to open
Shepard’s Farm : The Shepard has fallen into the dark arts and has turned himself and his herd into a powerful demonic force! The area is farm-like style, where you can roam around pretty much everywhere. It consists of demonic sheep that come in different shapes and sizes (ranged, self-destructing, fast melee, slow hard hitting and healing) and the boss, Shepard. he wears a scarecrow kind of clothing and is holding a cane, which hits like a truck + he spawns sheep often.(loved cow level in D2 :D)
Wild West : One street, one way and the townsfolk hate foreigners… Can you get to the other side? The area is obviously a wild west style town where you walk one street all the way to the end.(think of a wild west movie duel) As you walk, people will fire at you from the windows of houses and you can’t do anything about them except to just keep moving. Mobs(townsfolk) that you can fight mostly come in horseback and will stun you quite often. The Boss is Uncle Sam… He wears clothing fitting to that time period and uses a massive badass looking revolver, which fires fast 6 times and if you get hit, you get a painful bleed so… don’t get hit. After 6 shots have been used his firing rate decreases dramatically for x seconds, giving you a chance to hit back.
Dimensional Plains : You’re in their world now, will you purge the beings and shut down the portals to our world? The area is extra-dimensional looking(don’t know how to describe it :D) and you have to shut down a number of portals to wake The Aether.(Boss) The monsters here are mostly invisible. They show up before an attack and while they are invisible, they also are invincible so good luck with that :). Also suggest you have a ton of Aether Resistance.
These are just a few examples… After a challenge is completed, you are rewarded with a trophy in your inventory. The trophy gives small bonus stats in if you have it in your inventory that have a bit of randomization so a perfectionist like myself will enjoy
Secondly, the Multiplayer:
Either a chat window in multiplayer lobby or at least have a link to someplace, where we can trade, discuss and form parties please.
Thirdly, the Sound Effects:
To simply put it, I don’t like the sound effects, especially in skills. They need to be more meaty and have a punch to it.
