Well, Maya showed me, that then I have to make up a Conjurer.

But I really like DW and all of my last builds (everything after Trickster) uses 2H, so DW Ritualist would bei something to think of.

Sounds like an excuse to use Bloodrender

Perhaps.

Something I will do, if 1.1.5.0 doesnĀ“t hit Steam in the next 2 - 3 weeks, is to ā€œroll backā€ my Bleeding Ritualist via GDStash (some skill points, some level, some attribute points, some faction experience, maybe even levels of devotions) and play whole MC on Ultimate again.

I will start a meme chaos pet build by the help and guidance of Maya

Burger breaker, love me some Shadow Strike.

Probably a Piercing Infiltrator. Easy enough on self found and greens to get started.

I did start over from scratch recently when I bought both expansions.

My goal was to beat the game on Hardcore with a fresh start character using only self-found gear on my first play through of the new content.

My secondary goals were revered with 12 factions for Mandates and Nemesis with 8 factions and farm the warrants. (For alts)

My third-tier goals were Gazer Man. (For alts)

My fourth-tier goals were to complete various achievements and super-boss kills. Most of which are complete and the remainder I’ve put on hold because I wanted to start leveling alts.

I don’t know what to call my build / play style, but my character is basically a soldier that uses Leviathan and can’t be killed. His gear isn’t optimized but for being my first play through with self-found items it got the job done and now I just want to work on my first alt.

Mission accomplished. :muscle:

It depends if I’d start over in Softcore or Hardcore. In Softcore I would probably roll a Witch Hunter, farm me some Rift Scourge Slicers and I’m pretty much good to go.

In Harcore I’d probably go for the classic Aether Death Knight because of the target-farmable Krieg Set and the fact that you can get decent stuff before Kriegs Set from (Faction-)Vendors.

A Vitality or Acid Ravenous Earth Caster of some sort (Cabalist, Ritualist, Oppressor) would also be an option because of the target-farmable Dark Ones set but that Set is way harder to get than Krieg Set.

Either way my first goal would be clearing all campaign content in Vanilla, AoM and FG and to get Revered reputations with all factions for access to XP Potions, best Augments and better Faction gear.

Resources would become a thing again, so I would also include a lot of Cronley runs for Dynamite, followed by Treasure Trove runs in Mountain Deeps and Gloomwald for Recipes and materials.

After that I’d go farming in SoT for a while to get me some legendary gear, mainly for future alternative characters.

yeah getting that is a pain, on the plus side I almost never die to warden krieg since getting it (only when I’m pushing my luck)

It’s also vastly superior though

I totally agree! The Dark One set is one of my favorites in all GD. But it’s probably something I wouldn’t go for on a first character on Hardcore. But it depends on the character I have already going at that point. If I can manage a defensive setup with decent DA and overcapped resistances (using Pots helps of course) to farm it safely, I’d do that for sure. A misplay in that area can be really punishing, though.

Kriegs Set is farmable in Elite which makes the whole process pretty much a cakewalk in comparison.

You’re right, I love Dark One set too. Use to have Cabalist and then rolled DK. With the Cabalist farmed Krieg set on elite and DK farmed the Dark One set, nice symbiotic relationship!

And Krieg is easier to get but also is slower. Malawiglenn for example shows some people video farming the set with just faction gear setup though. So it’s not impossible by any means. And Dark one is so good and versatile. You have Cabalist, Ritualist and Conjurer.

This is an interesting thread! Lots of love for cabalist. Surprised no one mentioned Shaman based builds. Thundering Strike is such a fun skill to level with and has great green weapons.

Yup, you can buy the Sparkthrower gun directly from Vinelton. With attack speed suffix it’s great for Thunderous strike. I have posted beginners guide for Vindicator, very strong class!
