I noticed that there are two types of Insight granted skills, one is an absolute amount of elemental damage and the other is a percent bomus to elemental damage. If i have one of each of these on items, do they build off each other?
IOW, if a character is wearing a chest armor which grants an Insight skill of 50 pts of elemental damage, and also gloves that grant Insight of +100% elemental damage, is the elemental damage effectively doubled (assuming there are no other elemental modifiers anywhere else with the character)? Or is it only 50 pts?
Is this the insight proc you are talking about? As far i know this is the only “insight” proc.
The proc is pretty straight forward too. If you have two items with this suffix then they add together.
15% + 15% = 30% elemental damage. You can see the proc happen in real time bc the percent damage multiplier on the second tab of your char screen will change.
No, I’m finding another Insight (granted skill on green items), which does an absolute amount. I see it all the time, mixed in with the percent Insight. Same name, different Elemental Damage effects.

are you playing a mod perhaps?
only insight in vanilla is the %buff
either way, they should work together
if your insight is a dmg proc, and you proc %buff insight, it will buff your dmg proc
If your insight is a flat dmg buff, %buff insight should also buff it, since %insight is a global buff it goes into your char sheet stats buffing anything relevant (fire/cold/lightning). If the flat dmg insight is a global buff it’s then no different than getting flat dmg flame touched or a ring/augment or enchanted flint.

You used “buff” 9 times and im not sure what that term means (im old and out of the loop!). I think you mean “amplify” if im understanding you.
I did find an example of flat elemental damage under Insight and its on an Epic (Inscribed Bracers). So maybe its not a green proc skill but blue.
So if i understand you correctly, the elemental dmg bonus (%) will apply during the process hit but im guessing all other elemental dmg add-ons will be pooled, then percent-bonused (amplified by that percentage while its active).
buff, bonus stats that boost stuff, like you have a row of buff icons in your bottom left above your hp bar
If a buff is “global” the stats appear in char sheet and boosts everything relevant.
*atleast in the english version there’s nothing that’s called insight besides the green buff proc
this is not a buff, it’s a regular dmg effect that plops a ground effect damaging nearby enemies
and yes the green insight would boost this as Insight is a global buff boosting all elemental dmg effects (but additively, not multiplicative)

Ok yes it does show up as Elemental Seal.
