Introduction: Because A Better Title Escapes Me

Hey everyone. I figured I’d do an introduction since I’ve made about a dozen posts and have had a good experience with the community here thus far.

I’ve had Grim Dawn for awhile but never really had a chance to play it much until the last couple week. I normally play single-player RPGs and solo for the rest. I played Titan Quest, Diablo 2, Diablo 3 (come at me, hate train! :p), Sacred 1 & 2, Torchlight 1 & 2 all mostly solo. Part of this is because I know few people who play these games and my Internet at home is rather… poor  But I’ve added my Steam ID on the bottom of this post and I’d be happy to chat or play with anyone, especially once I move in September.

A little bit about myself: I’m 21, a senior and psychology major, live in Wisconsin, have no problems going outside shirtless in 0 degree Fahrenheit weather, and have a feisty miniature schnauzer who thinks she’s a circus dog and a lazy mini-schnauzer, brittany spaniel mix who think she’s a princess. I’m currently reading An Anthropologist on Mars by Oliver Sacks, my favorite song is Flower Dance by DJ Okawari, and my favorite game is Final Fantasy Tactics. In my spare time I like to read/write, work out, muck around on RPG Maker VX Ace, and sleep. Because sleep. Finally, I’m part of a decently large clan (back from the Halo: Combat Evolved days; it’s now diversified).

Now that you know more about me then you probably cared for… I hope to enjoy my stay within the community. It seems to a much more kind and helpful community than most. I also hope the game continues to improve upon its already wonderful self

Ask me questions. I like questions. The sillier the better.

welcome to the forums.

as for my ?

Have you ever stubbed your toe playing basketball in a skirt? Cause I have and it was awesome.

I indeed have not. I have stubbed my toe playing basketball plenty. I’ve never worn a skirt though… I did let my best friend do my make-up… and I’m a guy. So yeah, that was fun. Apparently I’m handsome as a guy and gorgeous as a girl though. My reaction when I saw my face with make-up on.

Welcome…again!

My question:

So you like to write? What genres? - if you don’t mind me asking. I’m an amateur author myself, still trying to get published (the process is brutal ).

This demands its own post in some off-topic forum with a story.

I think.

I’ve never written with a goal for publishing. It’s always been a personal endeavor. I actually find some sick joy in churning out a ten page paper for a class…

Most of what I’ve written in the last year is journal entries. Yes, I’m a guy who keeps a journal. Before that I would write random short stories or poetry. I once wrote a mystery short story about a serial killer whose signature was killing people who had names resembling that of popular cereal brands…

Now the rest of my writing is usually in creating little scenes in RPG Maker. It’s all atrocious; you don’t want to read any of it :stuck_out_tongue: Like I said, it’s a personal endeavor. I find it useful for destressing and decision-making if I’m stuck with something.

I concur!

Ha! Nothing wrong with any of that. :stuck_out_tongue: I always enjoy the longer-reports, too. Moreover, I can’t touch short stories or poetry, I’m awful with the two of them (200+ pages or bust!), so cheers to you there. Everyone’s got their own style.

Well, you (Alzeryon) seem to have a knack for writing because I was thrilled by your description so, though I’m probably not even here for longer than you, welcome aboard and enjoy your stay.

And since I am a sucker for the question game :

As a non-frost-fearing-almost-bare-chested-kind-of-guy, how much of a bear fur are we talking of on that manly chest of yours ? I’m asking because I’ve noticed none of my cold-dreading friends seem to share that nifty feature with the arctic walkers among us…

And :

Add one voice to the choir.

I knew that question would probably come up! Let’s just say that previously you could lose small trinkets in there… And we’re talking curly chest hair. Since the turn of the year, however, it’s been fairly void of any hair. Both my girlfriend and I decided long curly chest hair / belly hair looks terrible on me and hides all that progress I work so hard for in my workouts and diet. (As a consequence of listening to her and getting rid of it, I’m happier than ever with my body since I can see the freaking progress now. It gets disheartening when you work and work but can’t really see progress in the area; I never connected the dots my mane was just hiding it!)

Fellows kings of the zion know what to ask.

You seem to beat me at it by a fair length, though, so I can understand why you’ve decided to get rid of it. I just recently decided that my shoulders should henceforth be devoided of all hairs and it really helped my smile while looking in the mirror.

I fear you’ll have to buy some sort of trendy turtleneck to carry you through next winter, though. Best of luck with that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Naah. I mean, I have some really nice outerwear, but I don’t really need it unless it’s below 0 Fahrenheit or windy :stuck_out_tongue: Or if I don’t want to get asked, “AREN’T YOU COLD!!!” by every other person I pass by… So basically I’m always dressed warm outside the privacy of my own front yard in the middle of nowhere.
