I played the heck out of the first game and am considering coming back for the new AoM expansion, however toward the end of my time playing I discovered (through popular Youtube creator’s off-hand comments) that you can give yourself all of the loot in the game, through your character file.
Is that still possible now or has the files become encrypted/protected?
It was deflating and motivated me not to grind in the game any further, when I knew I could in seconds, give myself the items that I still had yet to find and wanted.
Thanks in advance for any knowledge on this subject!
Grim Dawn was developed with the intention of modding and third party tools.
This is a feature and not a bug or something to be fixed.
If you don’t want to use those features, aka mods and third party tools - then don’t.
Edit: See [thread=29771]HEXED: Why it bothers you[/thread] for more information and if you want to add to it.
Yes.
But that’s like saying I wont get a job because there is people that earns much more money than I would.
Or why would I earn my salary with my sweat when some people is millionaire because they inherited their money…
It’s nothing like those things at all. The game is a moddable game period. You either accept it or you don’t. Some people will cheat as you call it, but what they do shouldn’t bother you. As you arent forced to play with them.
