My warder does extremely well 2H, but I noticed nobody posts any 2H melee builds and I never see videos. Are they just considered that gimp?
Nah i don’t think that’s it. I for one only post concept builds that aren’t very straightforward. Got nothing against 2h melee. I suppose everyone just like DW more than 2h
I posted a 2h bleed warder build a while back but I don’t think I ever submitted it to the Build Compendium. http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48313
It’s pretty good. I revisit it occasionally to see if I can wring better performance out of it by shuffling augs/components around or tweaking skills/devotions, but as of the last edit to the last post I think I’ve got it about as good as I can get it. Could POSSIBLY be better with better rolls on gear, idk. I had someone tell me they basically steamrolled Mad Queen with it.
EDIT: The DW meta is fairly strong because of Blademasters being as good as they are, I’m guessing.
I have a few of my favorite builds that i made for a two-handed used, but when I remember that all of them need to translate, tell in detail why it is taken, and this is why it works so well … nah
I don’t think it’s just Blademasters. Poison Witch Hunters, Fire Saboteurs, Bleed Tricksters, and Pierce Blademasters all dual wield and they’re all considered excellent builds, top-tier even. I’m really struggling to think of a dual wield build that isn’t above average at the very least.
If OP wants to know what a real gimp build is, try 1h ranged. Not DW ranged. Not 2h ranged. 1h ranged.
As it stands there is basically no reason to go 1h ranged, unless you’re literally just using the pistol as a statstick/something to trigger a proc/a caster weapon.
Oathbreaker’s.
This was actually my favorite set back when the level cap was 40. I had a Firestrike Commando that used gun/shield so I could use Forcewave for crowd control.
I’ve tried it. I can’t say I’d recommend it to anyone who was actually looking to do lots of weapon damage, at least not over 1h melee, DW anything or 2h anything.
How the hell do you have over 1000 physique AND cunning AND still have enough spirit for jewelry? What did you do, max Anatomy and Military Conditioning?
Yeap, max anatomy. Military condition i always maxed, in any build.
Actually this was build by request - make ranged 1h blademaster. I do this request, not more.
Actually in current state of the game I think that going pistol&shield is slightly better than DW ranged ofc if you have soldier class in combo.
how the F___ do you get 2 stats over 1k? my stats endgame are always like 1100/400/300 or so, and that’s with top gear
^ Military Conditioning for Physique and Anatomy of Murder for Cunning.
My Blademaster has similar stats.
I maxed Military Conditioning and Anatomy of Murder and keep your Physique and Cunning 1:1.
Both have over 1000 points in both but my toon has less spirit than his.
My 2h Warder yesterday. Mad Queen face tank , no pots.
Don’t claim to be great or anthing but it works for me.
Maybe it’s also because of the animation. GD’s 2H melee weapons tend to look rather crude, and the way they are used makes it look more like you’re clubbing seals than fighting epic monsters.
I am currently trying to solve that issue with my 2H Warder, maximizing weapon procs to add variation to the attack animation and focussing on lightning damage and attack speed. This’ll be my core build.
I’m playing 2H ranged on my caster hybrid Pyromancer.
2H ranged is best that you can go for ranged
His total sum is just 2380 (physique+cunning+spirit) its noting special.
I have total sum of 2605 on my 0 phys/spirit BM without maxing anatomy.
Is it? I’ve been debating whether to go with the Harbinger set or dual wield Exterminuses for my Pyromancer.
I would take harbinger for multitude of reasons.
