Is this build viable?

Hey, im pretty new here and was just wondering if this witchblade build would work on higher difficulties. The idea was of an evil knight that puts nasty curses and dots on his enemies while still being nasty in melee using 2h weapons and heavy armor. I havent tried it yet but will make the char soon when i finish the game on my current one (vitality caster).

I was looking at defensive devotions like the turtle for more damage protection and some healing from deaths chariot/behemoth, any input is welcome:).

Here is the build: http://grimcalc.com/build/0B8NRW

Thanks in advance for advice:).

1 point in Fighting Spirit, Blood of Dreeg, Curse of Frailty- wut?
If this build vitality/bleed- why didnt you maxed witchfire/second rite and sigil?
If this build is physical- you dont need Pox. You can easily obtain Olerons Rage but instead you pump insane amount of points into occult just for 1 point in DB and Possesion.
No, its not viable. If you are looking for vitality/bleed build warder is better option. If you are looking for physical witchblade- you dont need so much point in occultist- curse of frailty and blood will be enough.

I’d argue that Scars of Battle is not a useful skill on anything not a Retaliation tank. Field Command and Squad Tactics don’t off enough to a Blade Arc build in my eyes to justify the huge investment either. One point in decorated soldier makes sense if you aren’t doing physical damage, 8 doesn’t imo. I also don’t understand the big invest into bloody pox. Witchfire/Second Rite get better when you’re doing more than 100% weapon damage because that includes their effects and they both scale better with your chosen exclusive.

I think this is better; Build + Devotions

Put Rend on Blade Arc and Windigo’s Mark on Sigil of Consumption. Wayward Soul and Giants Blood onto Possession/Witchfire/Blood of Dreeg. I wouldn’t bother with Doombolt or Counter Strike on this set up, but I left them there cause I’m lazy XD Menhir’s will is too good imo not to invest at least 9 points into (you can reduce investment as you get bonus’ from gear if you like).

Scars of Battle is useless? It boost armor absobrtion. Melee characters need as much defence as they can get, especially 2h and DW. Same applies to Field Command- it gives precious DA and extra armor. Also Menhir’s will requies a shield and OP uses 2h weapons.

Yeah scars of battle and field command are good. I don’t think they are worth huge investment though but if the OP gets + skills to soldier then they will be very worth it.

Also menhirs will requires either a shield or a 2 handed melee weapon to use.

I see, thanks for the input everyone, pity bloody pox isnt viable in the build though, thought it kinda fit the theme but i was thinking the build had a lack of self healing problem. I will look into warder as well as wendigo totem looks very useful for a melee char, i do have very little melee experience since i play a caster atm so its no surprise the build was a bit of a messXD.

:o Sorry, i mistake Menhirs Will with Menhirs Bulwark.

On a build spamming blade arc, you’re going to be knocking things down and killing them faster than anything else. Field command is nice, but you can get the offensive and defense from other sources easily, and the armor absorb just isn’t worth the huge points investment. Squad tactics is nice, but 12 points only nets 45% all damage and unusable attack speed. You can pick up 70% all damage from Kraken with just 3 devotion points. One pointing them is one thing, going all in with 32 points is another.

The OP is using vitality damage. Stacking active/passive healing is going to keep them alive without sucking up a huge points investment, and those skill points can go towards boosting damage. Throwing points on armor absorb is unnecessary, and detracts from a more point efficient means of staying alive given the damage types they’ve chosen.
