I was wondering if it was possible that if a player finds an item he cannot utilize currently could we just be able to dismantle it so we can craft it instead of having to find recipes ?.
I find that I’m never able to find items I need and I lose interest in the game entirely in the process, Just thought it’d be a more efficient system.
Also I was wondering if you guys ever thought of doing the 1 character system where i can just save different builds instead of rerolling from level 1 everytime, I mean i can just download a blank max level character but its just a simple suggestion.
You should be able to find the items that you “need” and/or shop for them. I have done 7 self found chars to level 100 and never felt that I lacked an item. You should be able to beat the final boss on Ultimate with just green items if you know what you are doing. You can dismantle items at the inventor (you need to complete a certain quest first) and you can craft legendary items (like gambling) at 2 blacksmiths (one in Tyrants hold and the other in a dungeon outside Steelclap district) - these blacksmiths do not spawn on normal/veteran difficulty though.
You still need to find blueprints to craft items, even if you have the materials or not. Dismantle can be a good idea, but selling items is also worth it because now and then you can find some useful green item at a vendor.
Dismantling dropped craftables for blueprints. I don’t think it makes much sense. Once you have a given item, being able to craft more of it is only useful to minmaxers.
Faction vendors can supply all the gear you need for clearing main game. Random drops should give you enough juice to grind reputation. True, sometimes you get stuck with a shitty item for a couple of levels but that’s the beauty of leveling.
I’m not sure I understood the 1 character system suggestion. Is it about being able to undo class choices? That would defeat the purpose of leveling. However, there’s always GDStash which offers an option to create max level chars from nothing.
