I just bought the game at http://www.cryptogamekeys.com/ for Securecoin. (http://securecoin.org/) and this is the first game I have bought with any of my hundred of thousands of cryptocoins I have, feels nice putting a little on a thing like this.
The game unlocks via steam if you buy it from cryptokeys(or so they claim). Only 3 copies available. So I’m thinking someone mass buys keys from this site and puts them on that site for retail or something.
when I saw this, I did have my own suspicions, but let it be, but I think it would be unwise for anyone to buy the game else where, (other then steam or the GD site for the time being) in case there are problems, or if the keys turn out to be fake,
it does look a bit scamish to me, but what to do about the thread? not really sure, maybe post a warning about buying from unauthorised sites, even if the key might be genuine this time around, I wouldn’t touch any other site (to buy the game from) at the moment in time.
but hi iMaterial, I just hope for your sake, you don’t have issues with the key, but I would say this as well, Steam has been known to remove fake keys (games) from people’s library, or if you brought the game from an unauthorised site. so I would be warily for now, in case valve do investigate. not saying they will, but there is a chance, but anyway, sorry to be a bit blunt, but as you can only get the game currently from two places, another place selling the game will raise people’s eyebrows.
No, it’s perfectly fine, I know the guy that owns it. He’s a member of the crypto community. Of which I’m a big part of and have been for years now. Mostly http://digitalcoin.co/en/ But that’s another story.
He gift sent me the game. I don’t think Valve/steam would mind that.
