Korvaak nearly ripped me

So I’ve been through this fight a few dozen times at this point.
I know not to get hit by meteors, to evade the closing circle, to destroy crystals and portals immediately and other stuff.
This time didn’t look any different, up to the very end.

Me (Tactician) and my Friend (Druid) were finishing Veteran, about lvl 62 or smth. We both had ~12k hp, capped res and all that jazz. The fight went pretty easy and nothing seemed to bother.
In the final moments Korvaak was on me, melee range. I stood in the Inq Seal just tunneling the guy. And when he died — either the moment right before or right after it — my HP plummeted to ~1k. In an instant. I didn’t see exactly what happened, but fortunately there was no DoT to follow, otherwise I’d be sent back to the login screen.

Any ideas on what happened?
I know I had some rough moments with him on other characters well below my current tankiness, but never this levels of shit. ~11k hp in an instant. AT THIS LEVEL!
What the fuck did just happen?

Went over grimtools, noticed he has a lot of DA shredding attacks, and then the one with 3 projectiles. Might be the case that I got shotgun critted by all three of them, I guess.

I have found that mobs with the capacity to shotgun plus the behind the scene buffs “seem” to be the case. I feel you. Best of luck.

Next time I see this fucker on this character I will have some mythical crossbow, best of luck to Korvaak. I am the danger, I am the one who crits :smiley:

This can be another case of nuke-on-death bug. The exact moment a monster dies, player takes massive damage, which can’t be explained by GrimTools data. Happened to me with Ekket’Zul and I saw it happen to others with various bosses.
