Take your time and don’t rush things, as you say. Not having a publisher IS being able to take your time and get things right. I’m in no hurry for the game, I’m sure I can find something to amuse myself until then.
Before we know it it will be the end of the year and time for the Alpha anyway…
Judging by the time need for Wasteland on Kickstarter to get organized after you will probably need at least couple of weeks to get organized. Is there such a thing as an embarrassment of riches? Not a bad thing, take the time you need and get it done right.
Good update! as someone said ,from the wasteland2 KS it’ll be a several weeks,i think, until you get the full backers list.
As a backer i think you should decide on a constant intervals for updates like every other week or once a month,and if you have something really awesome then give a quick update…that way everyone will know what to expect and will leave you alone to work on the game. which is why we are all here,right?

Hopefully backers will understand that this game cannot be rushed out. The developers need their time to do what they have to. This game won’t come out for at least a year so, the impatient ones so find something else to do in the meantime 
in short: yes.
Thanks for the update. No hurry as far as I’m concerned, I know these kinds of things take time to sort themselves out. On a side note, if the alpha does indeed make its way onto our hard drives before the year is over, it would be sort of cool to be able to play it while the apocalypse is going on. 
Good and clear update, it should keep some people from stressing out.
You should take all the time you need since this needs to give a good first impression.
I’ll gladly wait for quality.
