Looking good! It’s understandable that things are super busy over there lately, but it’s still fun to get updates even if it’s just “busy with uninteresting stuff”.

Wow, about 60K lost to non-payers? That’s just sad, what’s the point in pledging when you’re not going to go through with it?
I mean, no-one made you do it…
Anyway, I am happy you seem to have kept that in the planning/budget and will still go through the stretch goals, I was excited as all heck to see the final stretch goal, a new faction and storyline!
BTW, also got my key, now (im)patiently waiting for the time to come to actually use it 
what? you didn’t take into account the ~5% kickstarter and amazon take respectively. which leaves at most 10k missing pledges, probably way less.
Only wish I had known about Grim Dawn a month ago… I would have done the $35 pledge for the Veteran’s Medal!

They did not lose 60k to non-payers. The update statement was “$481,000 after fees, failed transactions and such”. Kickstarter and Amazon together take a bit more than 10% of the pledged amount for every project. That leaves nearly nothing to failed payments.
Would it be possible to release the stats behind where the money went? I’d like to know how much was due to taxes, amazon and Ks fees, and failed transactions.
Got my verification email over the weekend and everything is copacetic. I was never worried since I knew Crate would get everything sorted sooner or later, but it feels good to know everything went through as planned and my key now has all the extra (digital deluxe) goodies I pledged for.

does that not suffice? if you assume 9% you arrive at ~489k.
That’s more of an estimate than actual stats. I know that KS takes around 5%, however I would find it interesting to view more accurate results.
The total before fees but after failed pledges was $528,000
I thought a bit less than 10% (maybe the second 5% would be of the remaining 95%). Which would leave them at roughly 485k. Which means they only lost 4k through failed transactions, which is quite minimal.
EDIT; ninja’d by Rhis. Dunno what went wrong in my calculation as 95% of 95% of 528k is a few k less than 481… I guess it’s the “around 5%” that did it.

The guys over at Double Fine posted that it was 5% for Kickstarter, and 5% for Amazon. Amazon will take 5% of the whole pledge, not sure if Kickstarter also takes 5% of all successful transactions, or 5% of what is left over after Amazon takes their cut.
