Legendary drop random or not?

Just want to know does legendary item drop random or specific boss drops specific legendary item?

Also, I got first legendary item on veteran, as quest reward for complete the game. It’s Venomspine Greaves. Is that reward item for all players same or it’s random?

1. Most are random, some drop from specific bosses only.
2. The reward for completing a playthrough is a random legendary. There was a thread where someone stated that it’s actually a random non-set legendary, but I dunno if it’s true.

For normal, you’re granted with low-level random legendary (and most set legendaries are high-level ones).
For Elite and Ultimate, you’re granted with random accessory legendary (and set ones have quite low drop rate).
That’s why you usually dont see legendaries as playthrogh completing reward. However, you CAN het legendary for that (for example, i got amulet from Markovian’s set).
