How could Iskandra be reworked to give it its own distinct identity further away from a worse CT set?
The first question to ask - Why do we need four aether set? :eek: Make it pure elemental , give her some conversion on star pact, return CDR. Now we have a greath set for Druids, cause Mage hunters wants Censure over anything else. And for the love of Dark Gods, get rid of that Mirror modifier on amulet. 15% more dmg multiplier during invulnerability? Madness as it is.:rolleyes:
Same for Clairvoyant, CDR is dangerous. I personally kind of wanted Clairvoyant to be more geared toward warlocks.
CDR danger in in the eye of beholder. CDR warlocks performed fine and no one complain about them as something Oupie as hell. PPL complained about CDR Sorc with Aeon+Healing rain stuff, but? They just dont compete with binders these days. CDR Spellbreackers? No one in they right mind would play a breacker if he can go Inquisitor. Passive deffence always beat active in long run. If you can make something immortal with seal+censure+DA+phyz res, there is no reason to gimp yourself for cheazy chaining. Chaining will fail and you will die.
If you want it to geared toward Warlock, give it bonuses to Occultist. -20% RR to CoF, 100% Vitality to aether conversion on SoC. Tadam, you have a God tier Warlock set. CDR? A few seconds of mirror against 16% Free dmg absorbtion on Posession on top of 100% dmg disruption? Thats a not such a easy question to answer.
don’t think mirror will ever turn into less than 100% invuln because 1. its existed for so long that it gives inertia-like reasons not to rework it and 2. it’d go against the theme of the skill. It’s hard to tell where things need fixing. Especially because everyone has a different belief of what “balanced” should look like. Personally if I had it my way there’d be no build that clears faster than 8 minutes unbannered.
Well, i remember times when Arcanist was released. It was a bloody mess of weirdes out-of place not even suposed to work stuff. Mirror is an artifact of that era. I know, its painfull, but we came to time when it has to change. Not couldown, not duration, just skill itself.

And i did a Bone Charmer. And it was faster that Binder 
Then played with Death prophet , but it was kinda slow with 35k HP
Another option for Iscandra`s is to make it Cold instead. How much Cold build do we have ATM? How much Spellbreackers do we see every day? How much Cold non RoH sets we have ATM?
So, cold. Breacker. With Cold Devastation. Cold RoS? Yeah, we lack good RoS builds for casters. Defensive options fit the class perfectly, as they are squishy AF.
To make a truly elemental set you’d need something like 100% elemental converted to elemental on the two set bonus. I’d be down. Though it’s sort of supposed to be the arcanist in general set. I dunno.
Clairvoyant. Maybe put cdr as a skill mod on possession or witchblade buff thing. Among other warlocky skill mods. Sure. I dunno.
Hey I’m just explaining why. I hate mirror more than anyone tho I still pick it. It’s kind of neat but hard to deal with when high CDR exists. Aether RR on COF seems neat.
@x1x1x1x2 there is no nda. Just rules that would make me lose praetorian if broken. Uh, I don’t think so. All OK skills have been revealed no? Can’t speak for Zantai but just seemed like a clever binder nerf that also opened up new builds.

Some thoughts about mirror and iskandra’s set that came to my mind after reading this and also multiple other threads about spellbinders and arcanists in general:

Iskandra’s is supposed to be the “solo” arcanist set, like markovian, deathmarked, etc. so giving it huge conversion, which would only give benefits to specific arcanist classes instead of all, would not fit thematically imo.

I have to agree that mirror’s 100% invulnerability with 0 penalties feels a little dumb sometimes, but on the other hand it is one of arcanist’s core defensive spells that is used by literally every arcanist class.
So why not nerf mirror’s absorption as people have suggested to say 40% at 1/12, 60% at 12/12 and 80% at 22/12 and on the other hand add a mirror modifier to Iskandra’s set, which adds for example +25% absorption to mirror? This way the only way to get to 100% absorption is with Iskandra’s. Then Iskandra’s would have a clear identity, a defensive arcanist set.
