Level advice needed (Blademaster)

I started to level as a Nightblade and found the DPS and Survive-ability to be excellent. But now I am grouping with friends and at 33 I am finding myself to be incredibly squishy. One hit from a group-scaled boss and I am dead instantly. Luckily the penalty for resurrecting, claiming your grave and getting back into the fight is minimal, but it’s as annoying as hell.

Leveling as a Nightblade, I read a lot about the Blademaster spec, and I like the concept, and have added 30+% life to my character with the respec, (same gear, same points distribution), but he’s still ridiculously squishy.

Any advice before I move to a new character with ranged DPS or a Tank?

At over lvl 30 it can begin to hurt. You need to check resistances. Craft molten skin, dense fur, rigid shell, imbued silver and activate aura, sanctified bone.

Also for Crowd Control. Use Ring of steel with cold transmuter. It freezes mobs, giving you time to finish them before they hit you. You can invest 5 points in circle of slaughter for the fumble effect. That works on bosses too and it’s a very strong mechanic.

Pump Velil of shadow do decrease enemy chance to ht you or crit you and also slow them down. Same with shadow dance. don’t invest too much in spirit or cunning. Spirit max 10 for late game jewlery.

Thanks… Will the “dps take care of itself” then?

I I put points into Physique and get gear with resistances and “health” (I still call them hit points  ) will the DPS still be good?

Are there any gear sets I can farm at mid-thrity (getting close to 40)?

i wouldn’t stop and farm at that level. Late elite at best farm nemeses and bosses.

Get physique to 50-60 minimum if you are self found. Investing 50-60 into cunning requires top end game gear or at least to know the game really really well. Less cunning won’t break your build you don’t get your damage from there a lot. That is just for “racing” end game when you have everythng and you wanna kill a nemesis like…2 seconds faster:) You can check out my BM for that. I will update soon.

Excellent, thank you!

Just a heads up, I did respec, re-gear and re-align my character with this advice and I have to admit that he has become dominant.
