i have been away from the game for a while but with the expack looming around the corner i am getting back into it.
I am trying some alternative builds. before the new classes come out and will absorb my time.
One of the things i wanted to try is a build i saw on the forums some time ago, which hit one lightning skill and than kept proccing of its own procs. I cant remember what skills were needed and cant find the build anymore.
Does anyone know how it works, or possibly have a link for the build, id appreciate it?
I don’t know how the build you are referring to works, but if you can get your proc on attack total to 100% with any build, then doing any damage should cause a continuous stream of procs. “On attack” means every time the enemy receives a damage tick, and even with 40 or 50% on attack, a persistent damage spell or DOT will cause a barrage of procs.
Normal “on attack” procs don’t work like Weapon Pool Skills that the Nightblade and Soldier get. More than one can proc from the same attack and the only way to have a 100% chance to proc something/anything from an attack is for an individual proc to have a 100% chance on attack.
It sounds like the OP is thinking of some sort of Ultos-based build.
Interesting. The way some talk of the percentages being normalized once you go over 100% makes it seem like you have a certainty of something happening, and what happens is determined by the percentages. Or is that referring to the weapon pool skills?
So for 5% item procs is it basically rolling a d20 for each proc, if you get a 1 it procs? And if I have five 5% fireball procs then potentially for each damage tick I could have 5 fireballs go off?
That’s alota fireballs. Might even be better. In effect, having 4 proc pieces at 5 % already means fireballs pretty much fly off continuously.
Don’t know what build you are talking about, but you can use any skill to continuously proc skills. You just need gear with procs on them.

I use Night’s Chill for the never ending ability to proc the skills. And shadow strike to up single target and greater movement
