Little advice on progression [HC]

So this is my first character to actually make it into ELITE. Its a level 46 Warder. Currently using 2h Primal Strike, I have decent resists… however I still am taking a lot of damage. Should I be farming something? Because I feel that I am either A doing something wrong, or B taking for granted what people said (Veteran is Harder than Elite). I played veteran for awhile and I can honestly say with what is going on currently that Veteran was easier. I went through 15 health pots just trying to clear the first room walking up the stairwell to get into the house that leads to the Warden Area’s.

I was thinking maybe I should be farming better gear, or maybe someone else has some suggestions.

Components: Working on Oleron’s Blood for weapon, the rest is either resists or health

Better respec storm surge and some points out of torrent and max storm totem. It will provide the reliable AOE and clear speed needed to not get overwhelmed by mobs. Spec back later, when you got procs from gear and devotions, along with better gear in general.

Also, as a melee, you need pierce res as high as possible, otherwise you may appear to fight certain types of mobs “naked”.
High bleed res is also a must, unless you have very high duration reduction.

You didn’t say anything about your gear, it could be a part of the problem as well.
