Looking for caster build

Just got back to the game after some time and I want to start fresh.

Can anyone recommend a “meta” top-tier caster build that I can faceroll with? Preferably with a guide so that I can understand the progression and other aspects? I somehow never finished ulti and feel I messed up all my older characters.
