Looking for some insight for attaching devotions.

Hey fellas.

I’ve been having a blast with my DEE Warlock. For most mob packs I don’t even use DEE and instead cast Curse of Frailty and Bloody Pox with my devotion procs attached and watch them die.

That’s where I could use your help. I’m trying to figure out which of my two devotions to use on the two abilities mentioned above. The devotion procs being Acid Spray and Tainted Eruption.

I’ve tried both combinations and I like them both, it’s just figuring out which combination would have greater effectiveness use that’s got me in a thinking pose.
Any insight anyone can share would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I cant say for curse of frailty as I haven’t played with those ground wards too much, but I have had alot of fun putting Acid Spray on Bloody Pox. I put a video up on three “DDE Pure Caster end of veteran” and you can see how it works there. http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55896
Most of the mob dies before coming on screen, bloody pox alone might have done the same thing. Otherwise id put Acid Spash directly on DEE.

Tainted Eruption would go fine on any of them as long as it reliably damages. I chose something else because I already lay down a ton of acid/poision on the ground and I really need boost regen and defense right now. TE is a big devotion point investment that can be used to boost those other things so its something im saving for last.

Bloody Pox and Curse of Frailty both have a duration, no recharge time and affect multiple targets, so that swapping celestial powers should have little effect.

If you use DEE with its transmuter Focussed Gaze and assign Tainted Eruption to it, then the latter gets a higher proc chance due to the recharge time on the transmuter.

Curse is not a ground ward? I was thinking sigil maybe, been a while. How does an on attack proc work with curse of frailty since it does no damage?

Damage is apparently irrelevant - the debuff counts as attack. And it does so with every “tick”, so that your celestial power has multiple chances to proc during the duration of Curse of Frailty. Likewise if you use Sigil of Consumption, Bloody Pox or other skills with a duration.
