So I’m nearing the end of Act 2 with a level 37 Elementalist and I kind of want to radically reset my character. I’m got the trainer Trained Hard. I’m not trying to cheat exactly, just alter my character so that it’s better developed for a level 37 character with the same XP. This is my first character and I really didn’t put my careful thought into it.
I’d like to chance to a Witch Hunter (I hear they’re fun) but while I see ‘finished’ builds, I have not real idea what it would look like at level 37.
im sorry, and i can understand the issue you may have on first char but if you start to use a trainer on a very first char, your game experience may get ruined and will sure end pretty fast, cause if you can “alter” or whatever words instead of cheat, well whats the point of playing then ?
btw there are leveling guides provided with some guides, check compendium.
my advice : continue your, elementalist, you can make many greatand fun builds with these classes, or start a whole new

I understanding your reason and logic as well, but as a 46 year old professor with 2 kids, other hobbies, vacations, etc… I’ll be playing GD once… one time through. I’ve had it since pre-release and I’m level 37 and play a bit here and there when I can. One thing I’m hoping a better optimized build will do it help me die less possibly ensuring I do finish the game - eventually.
If you don’t like your current class-combo, you can always level a new char as a witch hunter (that’s what I did at the beginning until I found the class that I wanted to get to max level with)
Because if you begin to use trainers at the beginning you won’t play this game long as Trasheur said.
And in order to learn the game mechanics it’s better to actually play the classes from the beginning than to have already leveled up chars and figure what to do with all those attribute and skill points (because you’ll find yourself with a build you know nothing about and that you haven’t experienced since the very first levels, which will make you regret your elementalist)
Besides you can make very good builds with Elementalist (Stun Jacks Elementalist is sick, Savagery 2H Elementalist is very strong too …)
All these guys are right, Elementalist is very fun combo too.
But if you still want to change mastery, try GD Defiler.
Open the program, choose you character, Masteries/Devotions page, press Remove button beside mastery you want to change, confirm all requests, click Save button.
I think GD Stash is the easiest interface to use once you get it set up. I don’t see any issue using a trainer or program to change it if you are that unhappy with it.
I wouldn’t change the classes completely but if that is what you want to do well it is your game and you can do what you want. You might run into the same problem though. I would suggest using someone else’s build to start with until you get a better handle on the mechanics.
